As expected, Mr. Boras' (lack of) presence here speaks volumes. No clients of his to be found.

The auto checklist, however, is still quite sound in my eyes.

As for the base prospect checklist. Ummmm.....I'm not quite whistling Dixie.

And no Futures checklist this year? I don't get that one at all. We've all seen the WBC cards on several occasions already. Talk about beating a dead horse.

Good job Topps on the auto checklist!

First glance of the base set I wasn't impressed, but they pretty much always change that.

Personally, I would really like to see Brody Colvin in there. Not really any good Phillies right now. Hopefully Singleton and Kyrell Hudson will be in the Aflac set!

Besides him, there are four other 1st rounders not represented by Boras who are conspicuously absent:

Nick Franklin
Slade Heathcott
Kyle Gibson
Shelby Miller

I can only hope they'll either be late additions, or added to Bowman Sterling. Either works for me.

Actually surprised to see that many 1st rounders in the auto checklist - thought it would be weaker. But still a lack of true big names and no Heyward, Montero, Stanton FG. Hopefully UD will be coming out with something truly worthwhile.

...and people are pissed about 2009 BC being weak.

I have noticed that the Bowman Products go in cycles.

2006 Bowman Chrome - Weak -
2006 Bowman Draft - Very Strong (Great Autos / FYC)
2007 Bowman Chrome - Very Strong (Huge Autos)
2007 Bowman Draft - Moderate (Weak Autos / Great FYC)
2008 Bowman Chrome - Very Weak (Terrible Collation / Auto Checklist Huge)
2008 Bowman Draft - Very Strong (Great prospects and Autos)
2009 Bowman Chrome - All signs point to being a Moderate to Strong product
2009 Bowman Draft - First glimpse - very weak

Nothing like getting a red refractor out of BDP and it being of Adam Dunn.

WBC cards are tremendously overplayed and have no place in BDP.

I guess the question is now: who's buying and how much? Obviously no price point as of yet, but typically it's always around the same.

Singles for me, as usual.

What do you see in 2009 BC that gives you the impression of Moderate to Strong? My impression of the CL is that it is VERY VERY WEAK.

Thanks for the link JP, but big thumbs down to Topps. No Brett Jackson??? Not even a LeMahieu??? Of course maybe a "late addition" or two can really help this product. No surprise that the big dogs are missing though

If they insert the AFLAC Autos in the product again, and can somehow do something on the card to differentiate them between the game issued versions, I may buy a few products to chase a Tate or Harper.

Harper can't be in anything yet.

Check out the secondary market sales of Tommy Hanson, Santana, and Freeman. Each of them getting around $50 per, and that is just preliminary sales.
