2009 Chicago Sun Times Show July 16-19!!!

Hey guys I'm going to the Chicago Sun Times Show and was just seeing who else is going to be there. Rob167 and me are going together for sure but just seeing if I would see anyone else. Also never been to a big show any tips/pointers? Also how many tables do you guys think will be there? Also do you guys think there will be a ton of high end stuff?

I go to this show every time. The last one was pretty weak, but it's generally a solid show. The only fear I have is with it being held so close to the time the National is being held will it be watered down even more?

I have no idea, i'm just stoked to go I have quite a bit of cash saved so i hope there is some high end stuff there I want. How many tables are there usually?

It looks like a pretty decent auto lineup, and there should be a couple hundred dealers.
However, what you are going to is actually the 1st ever FansEdge Sports Spectacular.
The next Sun-Times show is not till November. The Sun-Times I have been to have all
been decent, but having never heard of this company or show, I'm not sure what to expect.

I may have to make the trip for Friday.
There are some great autograph prices on Friday. I don't think the timing is going to hurt this event at all.
If anything, people from this area will not make the trip to Cleveland and go here.

I have been to alst 7-8 of these and have really enjoyed them.

I get pretty annoyed though, the dealers seem to buy up alot of the prospect stuff before the show opens. Drives me nuts. I ask about chrome, elite, sterling, etc... "oh some dealer bought it all this morning." This is on the first day of the show, with me getting in when it opens.

Graduation party in afternoon and poker tournament that Saturday night

I noticed same thing but I figured Ballerskip talking about Sun-Times shows/ Rosemont events

I wonder based on ad in paper and some of the sponsors if this will be less sports cards and more sports related stuff?

I had no idea about the show until I saw this post. I'll probably go on Thursday or Friday, even though I can usually only find a handful of nice patch cards to buy that aren't overpriced.

Not sure how good the show will be, it is literally 1 week before nationals, I know I am not going because of that.

Well i decided to forgo the nationals because I want someone to go with and not go alone so For my sake i hope its good.

I know but didn't really find anyone that i knew well enought going to stay and share a hotel and everything.
