Starting a thread to discuss and gauge opinion on these cards. Lately I've been seeing some rough fakes on eBay. They came out the year after the ridiculously-faked 08 series and before the stamped & numbered 2010 series... Sanchez has long been the top card but Stafford and McCoy are on the rise.

On eBay alone there have been dozens of red ink versions of nearly every card I've searched over the past 2 years. But I'm not so sure Topps ever announced a print run on these (or that we've been assuming it was the same as the other years). Even with some faking, there does still seem to be a lot more blues than reds.

I completed my Knowshon Moreno rainbow of sorts with getting both singles, both duals and both quads he was involved with, but i did this mostly through eBay and mostly around the time of release but now i'm a little skeptical.

Any thoughts on these? Ways to tell real from fake? Additional info that should calm me or make me even more skeptical?

Percy Harvin's has exploded in numbers -
There's usually 3-5 at any one time on ebay.

Yep, there's a guy who goes by Timmmayyeee (or some variation of that) selling tons of those and Shonn Greenes. I lost track of how many times I've reported him.

The fakes have completely killed any interest I may have ever had in owning a Harvin.

does anyone know if there was ever an actual stated print run? it seems right now we know 1. fakes exist and 2. there are probably (?) only 10 real reds & 100 or so real blues of each card.

its not outside the realm of possibility that there were, say, 50 reds and 200 blues of each, is it? just unlikely based on other years.

i recognize i may be grasping at straws.

You could always send them to JSA/BGS or psa/dna? I would imagine they should have a ton of experiance with them? From what i heard, BGS no longer slabs them unless they pass JSA first.

or you could always post them here and get our opinions? i think thats what i would do. might as well get some free opinions from collectors, u got nothing to lose.
