good thread! Since I know there are others out there looking for them, I"ll see what I can find and post any I can find to sportlots inventory and see if I can help out a player collector. I know I pulled at least one. Maybe another one or two is lurking in in the four unopened boxes I have yet to bust.

Can't find that info from UD or Beckett, however, according to Beckett all 800 cards were made. No print run info of course. ::facepalm::

I've been looking for an embossed Brett Butler buyback since the product was released and haven't seen one anywhere - I've checked the obvious places: eBay (including the description check box), COMC, sportlots and the Beckett Marketplace. Since I'm assuming that all players in the '89 set were purchased, embossed and released into the wild, what're the chances that 1) Upper Deck held some back as replacements, and 2) that they'd respond to a request to purchase one outright from them.

Will never happen, don't waste your time.

I still need all 3 Canseco's from the set. to this day I've only seen one of each pop up on Ebay. I don't know if people pull these and don't realize people want them or they are just that tough a pull. if anyone here has any of the Canseco's by all means PM me and I'll trade for or buy them.

...and it was very early after the product released. I didn't bid on it, not knowing if they were legit or not...I'm kicking myself in the ass over it now...
