Also will be interesting to see. The people who stock the Targets and Skuzmarts have to know 2010 Bowman is worth more than the 19.99 a box, if some dealers and scalpers will get to them early and just cut deals for the product before it even gets inside the retail stores.

I'm sure we will see wine fests in next few weeks on how so and so stores never got any 2010 retail Bowman. Or how they saw a scalper loading up his cart with every blaster/ retail boxes before they had a chance to buy some.

This! I know for a fact that many of the retail stocker's know the "in's & out's" of what's-what & I'm almost certain that many of these stocker's will be notifying thier "inside guy" to meet them at thier store's to buy up these blaster's as soon as they break the boxe's (as the stocker's have to bring the product to each & every store, they cannot just bring a *** of cash & say "here's the amount I owe ya for so & so many blaster's", they have to actually break the main boxes & scan them as if they were going to stock the shelve's with them; this however does not mean they will ever touch the shelf as I'm sure they'll have a friend waiting in the wings with a cart to snag them)!

It sucks but I've seen it happen before (& I've even had a stocker, this girl stocker I met while at a Wal-Mart, call me to inform me where she was headed next to put certain product so I know it's happenning) & this is probably "THE" product to scalp if there ever was any! :?

I worked at Wal Mart back in '07. I befriended the card stocker the one day when I happened to run into her on my lunch break while browsing the card aisle, and she offered to come back to the shoe department and let me know when she was in with new football product. I of course took a break to go off clock and see what was in (we got two 15 minute breaks a day plus lunch).

I was surprised to learn how many thousands of dollars the card aisle brought in weekly. It was maybe 20-30 feet long and one sided, but did very well.

[quote="Pine Tar":2bt776mj]Just so you guys know that most of the cards are shipped to stores via UPS and since the holiday today I would
think that the ones that get theirs on Tuesday(delivery) most of the time will have them a day later of course.
They get delivered to Walmarts On Tuesday and Thursday as for Target they get theirs on Wednesday.

I know this since I used to be a merchandiser for Kellogg snacks and I would see the boxes sitting there when I worked at these stores and asked the backroom guys when do those come in.

These will be here soon enough so keep your eyes out for them. :D

Do you happen to know if they always come the week of release? Or is it possible that the were delivered last week Thursday and are just being held until the actual release date (apparently June 1) when they will be put on shelves?[/quote:2bt776mj]
Most of the time it is up to the stores and most of them do not put it out early. Sometimes it does say in the case it comes in
Display of a certain date. And that is usually done by an outside source, so they put them put when they want to, and that can be early, as you can see that some have hit the bay.

I will warn you all. These will also be resealed. Remember to look for the topps logo on the wrap. In the past
topps has used a very hard to open wrap, once they hit we can confirm what they use, but I have bought
2010 topps blasters quite a bit and they should be hard to open, the wrap that resealers use is loose and
easy to poke a finger in and open. Also look for the topps logo!

Good Luck
Kevin

Why would anyone re-seal a blaster? It's not like you can "pack search" for a Strasburg/Harper card and then re-seal the blaster with the rest of the packs and sell it as new?!

IDK, I'm just confused about all this! :| :?

People open up the blasters, take all the cards and refill the packs with 90's era junk cards

I think 2010 Bowman blaster resealers will be out in fill force this week.
Buyer beware on any and all blasters.
It's too bad Target and Skuzmarts don't have a no return policy on cards. Just feeds the resealers, because they can get away with it all day long.

Buying them to resell them is just scummy and just as disingenuous as pack searching. They should put a limit on them, but i'm sure some of you less than scrupulous characters would find a way around that too.

Greed is greed. God forbid a kid comes in to buy a pack of 2010 Bowman and can't get his hands on any because your nerdy ass is skating away with a cart full of the stuff to take to ebay.

Why is that different than stores who buy product to resell, people who bust product to sell, people who buy large print runs of a player to resell, etc.?

I found 4 blaster at Target in Crystal, MN this morning. I was visiting my parents and decided to go to target to pick up a few things. Checked out the cards and saw 4 blasters plus around a dozen double packs. I bought the 4 blaster thinking that all the stores would have them. Cracked the 4 at my parents house and was honestly disappointed with them. Each blaster has 1 purple ref and that's it. The cello pack I bought I got a purple and nothing more. I saw 3 blaster of 09 bowman draft and I probably should have bought them instead to open and flipped the 2010 bowman. Now obviously not all the boxes will be like this but if I find anymore Ill be flipping them instead of opening them.
My only hits from the 4 boxes;
Bryce Harper chrome
Strasburg bowman base
Donovan Tate Purple
Grant Green purple
and a bunch of the top 100.

searching is the wrong term I think, they actually open the product take the packs out and fill them box with
something else. They then re wrap it and return it. Obviously the people working at those stores don't know what
goes on, so it finds its way back to the shelf.

This has been going on since 2001 which is probably when the blaster hit retail stores. It would make no sense for
these scum to return anything 2010 bowman back to the boxes, as even unopened packs will sell for good money.
If you really want to protect what you buy you might want to tell your local store about this scam so they will know
about this. Like I said best bet is to see the topps logo on the outer wrap.

Also I have seen it done before you open up one blaster take the huge carboard block out and open other blasters in the store(the cards are pretty secluded) and you can stuff probably 60 retail packs in one blaster and just pay for that one

Tomorrow will be interesting seeing if people are able to get their hands on Cashburg blasters. I'm gonna try two Targets near me and will even step foot in Skuzmart.

I ran to a couple targets near my house in MN as well and they are out. I picked up 3 blasters as well as a few packs. I plan on selling them on ebay although it is tempting with them just sitting here. I did happen to get a Tony Sanchez Auto in one of the packs though.

So there are no chrome autos in the retail product?

No chrome autos, no red refs., and no supers.

Also only 1 purple per blaster this year, as opposed to 2 per in 09 Draft.

Some on another site said they pulled a Anthony Gose Chrome STICKER auto from a rack-pack. No pic, so I have no clue if they are telling the truth.

There are "paper" autos in retail. No CHROME autos.

The paper auto checklist is bruuuuutal.

But Anthony Gose isn't on the retail checklist.

I have 7/10 of the BDPP retail autos. Amazingly, from all the packs I bought I only got one double auto (Moustakas). One of the Moustakas was in a rack pack that also had a Drew Storen xfractor auto so that was a nice bonus.

I'd complete the set but I didn't get Posey and those have been selling for $30+
