I'm tempted to get a case of Donruss EEE but I don't know if it's worth it.

But has anyone done the math in terms of autos you pull from a case?

6 Autos on average (16 Boxes) = 96
10 Autos on average out of Hotboxes (4 Boxes) = 40

= 136 Autographs!!! (on average of course)

If you can make $11 per auto, you'd cover the cost of the box.

I realize there is a lot more bums than stars in the minors, but with the addition of the HOFers and Pam Anderson...it looks like pretty good odds. No?

Anyone else have an opinion on this?

Your going to be lucky to get ~$10 for 1 out of every 20 autos in this product. Some will be more, most much less.

Elite is more of a hold and sell as they get hot product. Not a bust and dump. I love elite though. One of my favorite cases to break.

i love it when rippers bust and list EEE immediately

There are some GREAT ball players who just don't have hobby steam built up yet. Myers was $9 when the product dropped in 2009.

EEE has been one of the best values in baseball for a long time. Look how many
studs it has produced in 2009 when chrome didn't have any of those guys...plus
Pam Anderson!

The base cards will get you a chunk of change also. Sell the guys that are hot and the base, hold the guys that are obvious holds. if it's 4 bucks, it's a hold.

Chapman = $$$..

I opened a few boxes and pulled a couple of his.. Sold them awhile ago for $80.. boxes were about that.. so they paid for some boxes..

Also there are blasters that have 6 packs and have 2 gu/auto's per box and they have hot boxes as well.. I was getting my blasters for about $24..

I need to dig out the Chapman I still have left..

Good luck,

Retail blasters were made for 09 EEE. The were meant to go to walmarts but never
did. A distributor in California got them all and sold them to other dealers. I can
tell you they were loaded. 2 hot boxes with 6 autos in one blaster. Half the case
had collegiate patch autos in them and the other half had parallel autos in them.
I saw some case have 4 of the leather ball autos and some cases with like 8
red autos. My dealer bought a bunch two months ago and recently went up on
his price...just can he feels he can. Ill wait.

Not all cases were loaded. Opened one. ZERO die cut autos. So I wouldn't say they are all cash money....

Anyways, I thought of buying an elite case, it is my FAVORITE product to rip. But I don't think the value is there to make any money on it. Way too many $1 hits....

I have opened 2 retail cases from 2009... You are correct with the half the case has the 2 hot boxes and all the "regular" autos. The other side of the case is the game used, ball auto's, patch auto's, etc.

1 case I opened I did good with 2 ball auto's and a bunch of patch auto's. 2nd case I opened was mostly regular non-auto'd game used cards, no ball auto's, and only 3-4 patch auto's.

I have considered opening more recently but very hit or miss... Plus I have yet to pull any kind of parallel auto out of any other box besides the "hot boxes".

Well take 4 hotboxes from the 16 boxes, so its 12 boxes of 6 hits (72) +40, which makes it 112 hits.

no it was only 2 hot boxes in 16 cases. I remember when the parallels came they came
often, but when they didn't they didn't.
