FYI guys, I didn't participate this year, because it's too much of a gamble.

You have everyone that says "Hey, we're gonna' send out GREAT stuff", but they're really in it to see what they can get while giving away as little as possible. Jacob's package wasn't THAT bad -- it may be a newer member or new SS participant.. but I've seen way worse low end.

The scary level is high-end, because people start taking things out of their PC with the assumption that something has so much SV when it doesn't.

Then there's the people that just don't send.

There is another way to go about doing this as well....

Have an intermediary who receives ALL of the packages. No packages get sent out to the participants until ALL packages are received or the deadline hits. Just an idea

I have an appt with a supervisor tomorrow afternoon at the PO. My sent packages have vanished, I have talked with the members already and Eddie has the DC's. It's other issues along with these packages, Ones saying dlvd to me but I don't have them. We had a fill in carrier who was terminated after two months, Only had issues when he was around. One of the packages was my moms Christmas gift, Says signed for by me three days before christmas. He signed for it and left it five doors down. I will have answers tomorrow for everyone, If not I will be charged with assault on a fed employee.

I'll give Eddie a chance to work his magic. I don't want to out the guy till I have too. I sent him 40% over the limit and he sends me nothing. Merry Christmas *******.

I'm freaking pissed. In two years I did 6 SS and 4 were screw jobs. So many scumbags in this hobby. It's getting to the point where I am so disillusioned. 2 out of 6 went well........one of these six sent me a pile of worthless useless cards that I don't even collect.... wtf??? We all said what we specifically collect, why would you send me eight 1.00 cards of people and sets I don't even collect??? I went out of my way to only send cards that were specifically listed.

There was not one card I sent anyone that I already owned. I bought every one of these cards and spent a lot of time to make sure I got the best price to maximize my gift. And Out of all six of those, I get 2 back that are even close to being near the requirements. TWO

I learned my lesson, secret santa is a disaster, too many people take advantage and I know the guy who screwed me and I gotta admit, nothing will happen. This will all go away and that will be that. Last year I asked where my missing SS was until the summer when Pinbreaker sent me a package that actually embarrassed me. It was a great package and I was thankful but I didn't think he and his elf friends should have to do that. He's a great guy and I don't think anyone here didn't already know that. Point being, I was scrooged and there was no action and I have to assume that it will go that way again this time.

This isn't an indictment of this board so much as the hobby as a whole. 2 out of 6 came through. Hate me, my politics or whatever...I am honest and trustworthy. 100% I have never once cheated another hobbyist and never will. My feedback is strong and all six SS packages I sent I spent over what I was required too and tried my best to buy things that my victims wouldn't have and would want. There is not one person here that can or ever can say I was dishonest in any way shape or form in a transaction. I truly shopped and purchased every single card and spent a lot of time doing it. And I had a great time doing ti. It's fun shopping for other people.

BTW craiger, your gift to me was great, man. I really enjoyed it and thanks again! Merry Christmas friend.

This is my 1st year and probably my last. I made sure my items were sent WAY before the deadline and now exactly 1 month after cards were supposed to be sent I still have nothing. Thought this would be a fun thing to do, but getting whacked for $150 really sucks.

Personally, I think outside of marro (we all understand what you are going through, and have plenty of faith in you.) that the names of people that SCROOGED should be posted.

Why not?

We post bad ebayers, bad traders, etc. Really when you think about it, they flat out fall into the bad trader category and should be known to everyone on the board. Hell, It should be a STICKY on this board.
