I think the Panthers are swerving everyone with the Newton at #1 stuff. I still think they go defense and the Bengals end up taking him. At the end of the season, Newton was being talked about as a late first, early second round pick. Then all of a sudden he's a sure fire #1, then somehow #1 overall? I don't buy it. I'd be shocked if they take Newton at #1.

I'm also interested in seeing where Dalton ends up, as his stock really seems to have skyrocketed of late. Everyone from the Pats to Colts were looking at him as possible successors.

Recent reports are that Gabbert is falling, could end up in MIN at 12. That would be a wow for sure.

Then again, SO much info flying around that its tough to see what is true and what is false. Its obvious that teams disseminate info to further their own agendas.

I say MIN ends up with a DE like Jordan or Aldon Smith at 12, or Locker. If Amukamara is there, he could be a small possibility.

No way its Dalton, no way Gabbert makes it that far down.

Man, i need to take a breath here. One of my favorite days of the year. I hate college football, but love draft speculation. Go figure.

For my Cowboys, I would give up a 3rd this year AND a 2nd next year to move up the 4 or 5 spots it would take to get Peterson. I really doubt Arizona or maybe even Cinncy would turn that generous an offer down. I know you're overpaying, but they SHOULD have a late 1st Round pick they'd be losing.

Otherwise, trade down to the mid 20s somewhere and take Rahim Moore, who I have had special feelings for since November or so...

Couple FCB items in McShay's last mock draft:

"Hank" to Carolina with first pick in 3rd and Dion Lewis to Philly in 4th Round.

I know CM would be ticked but how would ModTim feel about both of those in the same backfield? :?

That would be pretty neat for him to play for the same team has his dad.

Hoping the Vikes get Adam Weber with their 5th or 6th round picks, he could be a star

Yeah, because when I want unbiased information on Minnesota athletes, I turn to the STrib.

Weber wasn't even the best quarterback on his own team, last year.

Not trying to be a dick, at all - you're certainly entitled to your opinion. I just can't see it, and I would hate to see the Vikes spend even a 6th on him.

Too bad David Stern doesn't run the NFL. He would have had Von Miller offed by now
