An awesome pick by the Steelers, Heyward is excellent against the run and he can rush the passer.

LOVE IT! Actually had them picking Heyward and was happy when they were up. He and Ziggy Hood are bookends now. It was a need and was addressed with a great pick.

The Steelers are probably set at End for nearly 10 years.

I agree. I would like to see them pick up a corner or saftey in the next few rounds as well. I think they have needed to address the corner position for a few years now.

They should be able to do that in the 2nd, maybe trade up for a better CB.

^ This is what I think will happen.

I bet they trade up to take either Williams or Harris......or at least I hope so.

Either one would be a solid selection in the 2nd.

Williams in the 2nd is a steal. I would take it! Someone is gonna cash in on Bowers today

I think that about Bowers as well but his knee must be a big issue for him to fall out of the first round. The Bucs checked his knee out again this week and the report is that its bone on bone.

This draft is way off to what I thought might happen.

Seems like Cleveland got a heck of a deal. I bet they like Baldwin from Pitt at 27.

I hope for Mallett in round 2 to Bengals.

Baldwin would be reach at #27.

Just had to say, Baldwin would be 27, had the Ravens turned their pick in on time :D

Sad to see DaQuan drop. His knee must be worse than reported. It is probably a good thing he left though since if it is degenerative, why not make money now?

Bengals need to come away with Mallett or Bowers here in the second.

I would love to see the Cowboys end up with either Franklin, Bailey, or Harris (all Hurricanes) 8-) .

You never know w/ Harris. I'm not sure how Bailey fits in a 3-4 and Franklin would probably have to move to guard.

The Cowboys tried to get back into the first to get a DL or Ingram but the teams wanted to much in exchange for their pick.

These of course are homer picks with me being a Canes fan. I think Bailey's best fit is as a 3-4 DE. Harris is going to be either really good or really bad.

You can say goodbye to Reggie Bush now that they've picked up Ingram. Wonder if anyone will bother picking him up.

You are joking right?

First of all, he and the team can always re-structure his deal and then extend it with the same $$$.

But IF they decide to cut him, he would have almost his pick of places to go. Not for the $11M he's owed otherwise, but still alot more than the average.

When healthy, he's still an All-Pro talent, just not a pure RB. His total yards figure is usually around 1,500, alot more if you factor in his return yards. I disagree with those who label him a bust, and I REALLY disagree he'd have trouble finding a team.

If you think I'm off here, re-watch the Minnesota@NO MNF game from mid-09. He SINGLEHANDEDLY won the game for NO, which is hard to do in Pro football.

He's already said that he isn't going to play for less and knows that he will be gone. Here's a article from Yahoo today saying the same thing. He has talent but I don't think any team will pay him anywhere near what he wants.
Bush' time with Saints coming to an end

My bad, I thought you were saying no team would pick him up at all. Yeah, he won't get anywhere near the $11M, probably about a third of that.

Did it occur to anyone that Bush was bidding farewell to the New Orleans Hornets from the playoffs?

The drafting of Ingram means an end for Ivory or Thomas, not Bush. The Saints and their fans like Bush, so I'm sure an effort will be made to keep him there. He is such a versatile guy that they will want to restructure his deal. It will fall down to if Bush wants to stay, not if the Saints want to give him a chance. He'll have to take a drastic paycut to play anywhere, so I say he does it with the Saints where he's already loved.

Not that I disagree, but I think he will test the market first.
