The thing that stuck out to me is:
"at least 40 different draft pick subjects" for autographs
That's a huge checklist with a draft that wasn't regarded as a very strong one.
I'd imagine color autographs will be harder to pull than in years past and that Topps will crank the presses on this release.

I'm not bumping this thread to re-hash the jumbo prices or allocation of jumbo's, rather what affect will not having any Retail product have on this "Hobby Only" release. Meaning, since large retailers (Walmart/Target/TRU etc) will no longer be an outlet for those who normally buy from them what will the impact be on the hobby side?
It'll alienate the kids to some extent, no doubt. But the local brick-and-mortar shops will help pick up the slack.
Because the belief is that one of the "Jumbo" box Auto's will be a color auto? Thereby the presumption of better odds.Someone explain something to me: why would anyone want the Jumbos' 3 chrome autos at $200+ when 3 boxes is cheaper?

Yeah, but don't the overall odds mean that 1-in-3 boxes will anyway? Jumbos used to offer a better price/chrome auto at the case size. With prices exploding and starting high, that doesn't seem to be the case anymore.
Maybe I'm missing something.
