I can understand 2010 and 2011 Bowman jumbos going up. 2010 was loaded with Strasburg being the crown jewel and 2011 was all about Harper. But who is the superstar driving 2012? Cole? Hultzen? Darvish? I can't elevate Cole and Hultzen up to Strasburg and Harper levels and I can't get excited about Darvish given the mixed success Japanese pitchers have had in the majors.

No thanks. I'll spend my money on 2010 Draft and 2011 Draft before overpaying on 2012 Bowman.

This thread is exactly like the ones you are referencing from Blowout.

Sheep will be sheep, but this stuff doesn't deserve to see a big increase in price when there isn't even a checklist yet. From what I have gathered, some people think 2010 Bowman Jumbo will happen every year from now on. ::facepalm:: ::facepalm:: ::facepalm::

Exactly, we know of Rendon, Hultzen, and Cole, but it's not like we haven't seen those names before. The Black Auto additions are nice, as well as the buybacks (finally Topps listens), but we don't have a complete checklist of names to go on.

Oh man, I can't wait to pay $200 for a chance to pull and Hultzen or Cole auto!!!

For real, I think both of those guys will be better than Davish, so I couldn't care less if they add him.

Partial checklist... not sure why they are putting choice, banuelos, profar + many more as prospect cards again...

You all better believe if Cespedes or Darvish autos are added it will catch fire. Chromes of those guys in their first MLB uni will help.

Also I know they are just RC chrome autos... but Matt Moore is one of the hottest guys on the market and with only about 6 or less RC autos every year, there will probably be one per jumbo case...

Product is always the hottest of the year so far.. if you know what I mean.

I locked in at $805 in december...certainly didn't see them spiking like this three months out from release date. Had hoped to possibly add a second case but with them approaching 1K now it's probably not going to happen for me.

Anybody who thinks Darvish will have a chrome auto in this is foolish; who would then have to put in Bowman Chrome? I wouldn't be surprised if he has a paper just like Harper did, but outside of Rendon, Hultzen, and Cole there really isn't much available in terms of "first chrome autograph", is there (the only big name I can think of is Taijuan Walker)?

Darvish will be just another added hit for people to rip and flip. I'm guessing Topps will add him in and it will start the buzz for their products for the rest of the year.

TOPPS SIGNS YU DARVISH TO EXCLUSIVE AUTOGRAPH TRADING CARD DEAL

Topps is pleased to announce it has signed an exclusive multi-year autograph trading card deal with Japanese pitching phenom Yu Darvish. The deal also gives Topps rights to produce Memorabilia cards, Insert cards and Base cards.

Darvish will make his first autograph card appearance in the upcoming and highly-anticipated Topps Tribute Baseball. The card will be limited to 25 and will be available via redemption. In addition, Darvish autographs will appear in both Topps Museum Collection Baseball (30 cards) and Gypsy Queen Baseball (25 cards).

2012 Bowman Baseball will feature Darvish Autographs in a bigger way. This is where collectors will find Darvish’s Autographed Bowman Chrome Rookie Card

yes but in the past all vet cards are red border, rookies green border, and prospects were blue. all the rc logos were green border cards...
