Love the idea. and although it was a joke the member who posted the barkley video, i think that brings up a good idea. to have an celebrity auto insert set. maybe only 20 or so of each person to keep cost low. but make it like the celebrities that are known for golfing.

a few suggestions, but there are a ton out there. even a low pop average named list might be popular.

dennis quad
bill murray
samual l. jackson
mark wahlburg
Matthew McConaughey
george lopez
jack nicholson
ray romano
adam sandler
unlikely but michael jordan
charles barkley

you could also add Tony Romo and chevy chase

Timberlake
Trump

would be an awesome insert set
Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez
Oh wait where were we going with this list?

Those are great MadMox. But $$$ is probably too much on most of them to make it worth BG time. End up losing money on deal.
If he could catch Barkley late night at Vegas Casino with say a stack of 100 or so Leaf cards already in hand for right time. Offer Sir Charles some big cash at tables to sign might be only way to get something done with him. Has Barkley ever done a paid signing at some of the big shows?

Everything I post on the BASEBALL board is BASEBALL related.

If I went to the Football board and seen NASCAR posted there, I wouldn't like it either.

And there's no reason to start calling people names.

And if you miss something because it's not posted on THIS forum, then that means you should frequent OTHER sections on this forum. The baseball section isn't the ONLY one that people use.

Maybe if people would post this stuff in the APPROPRIATE place, then that would breath life into those forums as well.
Sam, you seem to be the ONLY person who has a problem with this thread. Don't like it, don't click it. SIMPLE AS THAT. If it was posted in the "appropriate" forum I would not have seen it, unless it was linked on this forum.

~Yes, I am sure the golf forum would be thriving had this thread been posted there....hell, we might have even gained like 400 members on this site because of it!~

Give it a rest, Sam.

No rest to be given Scotty.

And no, I am not the only one who doesn't like it. I'm just the only one stepping up in the thread and saying such.

And to give you your own advice, you don't like my posts, don't quote them Scotty.

I also find this very annoying. What is the point of having subforums if they're not going to be used. Those who collect golf will check the golf forum and those of use who don't, won't have to be bothered with threads like these cluttering the BASEBALL boards.

I like Leaf products and I like the idea of a new golf product.

I just reaaallllly want to see Leaf come up with a new 1/1. Been saying it for a while. Sure we all love superfractors, but a NEW card that is Leaf exclusive would help you guys create your own image. Just my opinion.

How about using the "valiant" technology for 1/1's? Or the valiant technology combined with superfractor technology (if thats possible). I dunno, just something that is yours and yours only.

I will echo the posts about creating a tennis product. I would love me some of that. Not so much interested in this golf product, but the cards are cool enough looking.

I don't mind golf being posted here. It's only one thread.

I would never have checked the other forums for this. They get ZERO traffic.

That's precisely the point though. The other forums get zero traffic because threads like this aren't posted in the proper forums. Hence, there's no reason to visit them. So either threads like this should start being at the very least posted both in baseball and the appropriate forum or we might as well get rid of all the other sub forums and just make a General forum and Sports Card forum for everything related to cards.

Agree, one thread is not going to kill the topics in the baseball forum in the beginning of January.
I love golf, but would never ever think to look in a subform to see if there just happened to be a Golf product coming out soon. Being that it was posted in this forum, I am now likely to take a shot at some boxes, otherwise I would have missed the boat.

Just an opinion but for celebrity inserts, it might be a good idea to look at who annually participates in the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship (Edgewood - Tahoe). Has been played every year since 1990. Multiple winners include Jack Wagner, Dan Quinn, and Rick Rhoden. Lots of top-tier celebrities participate every year. Lemieux won it one year.

I understand what your saying, but for the other forums to take off, you'd need threads like this ALL THE TIME which isn't going to happen.

Which is why I said if they're not going to take off then we might as well just get rid of them and consolidate the forums.

Me too. I haven't been to Scoundrel in forever though. Just makes me want to buy sketches I don't have money for. :(

Man, I didn't even realize they were coming out with a 7th already. The last I paid attention was when Galaxy 5 was just coming out and everyone was going all nuts. The last time I really paid a great amount of attention was SWG4 when everyone was freaking out about the diecut sketches.
