I'm still waiting for the answer on why you would license a direct competitor. Was it not in your contract with them to see the cards first? Did anyone from your company see your name on the back of the cards?

Regardless of whether or not it is the printer you and I both know if those were Leaf cards that thread would be a dozen pages long.

BiggioBrooks: Seriously dude, your responses make it sound like you aren't even reading the thread. Let the adults talk.

While harsh, I do agree. Read the thread and get a clear picture of what is going on before you post.

What a nice cute thread we have here lol

The only thing that is "cute" is your lack of comprehension. Some might use "cute" while most would use "sad."

As mentioned earlier, you should probably sit this out and let the adults talk. Surely you can find some glue sticks to eat.

Thanks for clean concise question:

1) we made cards for them the past 2 years, however they were leaf branded... If we said no to their offer, they would have done this themselves with the players/agents.. This relationship allowed us to (a) profit and (b) control the format of distribution to insure they do not directly compete with our packaged goods...

2) yes, we saw the cards including the back. It is their brand and their artwork.. Our primary error would be not putting Rize on the copyright and not putting a disclaimer on card back.

Lets see if intelligent and mature discussion can exist

Brian, how often do you watch Gilligan's Island and think, "They're actually going to get off the island this time!"

Maybe I'm missing something but why does it even matter whether it's a leaf, a non-leaf, or licensee of leaf's product? How is anyone, besides Leaf, being hurt by this issue?

It has to do with baseball cards and that is what is discussed on baseball card forums. Maybe it matters to people for different reasons. Personally, it doesn't matter to me one way or the other.

Agreed.. People have a right to ask... I'll answer where I can and that's the way a mature discussion occurs...

I get that. Just seems alot of people are upset and mad and I'm trying to understand why.

Which Leaf-branded sets were actually made for this company?

Trader JOe's ketchup doesn't have Heinz or Hunt's name on it.

This product does have Leaf's name on it.

Trader Joe's makes their own. Check your store label cereal or other goods.....they will say made by "x". Most ia made by Ralston or Conagra regardless of the brand name.

Your products are better for the abuse you endure. Others might be better if they listened as well.
