That was fast and damn, what a price![/quote:1mdnkzx4]

Agreed, it looks like there are originals /10 and then reproductions of each card, the Griffey originals are going to get insane prices.

I like the gold border autos better this year than last. I loved last years too.

Fantastic looking cards. I'm sure there will be some brutal breaks (as with any high end baseball product ever made) but I think the complaint that Topps has never made a great looking high end product will need to be retired.

Yeah, those are very slick.

It will be interesting to see if they come out blazing due to the sales of last year's.

Some of the cards are fantastic looking, but I can't call a set "high"end" when the majority of the "big hits" are sticker autos.

I just can't

If Upper Deck could do 08 and 09 Ultimate all on-card, why can't topps (with the exclusive MLB license) do the same?

Not to spam the thread (though that's what I'm doing), if anyone wants to sell/trade a gold metal frame auto, I'm seriously considering attempting to build the set.

Also, I was excited to see they were having original paintings in this set #/10, unlike the A&G 1/1s. However, I admit I'm a little disappointed at them being watercolors. I was sort of expecting oils or something, like the Presidents in that UD set. They do look nice, but they could've been something else. Oh well, wouldn't be a high-end set if there was nothing to complain about.

That's a pretty tough standard. 2004 SP Patch Edition would not be "high end," nor would most years of UD Ultimate Collection.

Wow, that's gorgeous.

Could this product be this years version of the UD Ultimate Collection everyone loved so much previously?

It has the jumbo patches - like this Hamels - [phil:27g29mc1]220993570220[/phil:27g29mc1], the great on-card autos like this Jackson - [phil:27g29mc1]300691346615[/phil:27g29mc1] and the sweet patch autos, like this Belt [phil:27g29mc1]120890235566[/phil:27g29mc1]
