Byrd goes back to where he started.... Mets got Vic Black for Byrd/Buck from Pitt...

Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Freedom Card Board mobile app

And Dilson Herrera or something, think he's a 2b prospect

Always great to have a career year right before you go into free agency. Marlon Byrd for 16 million? Pass every time.
It's amazing how great he was this year after how terrible he was last year. But still...only two 20 HR seasons over 12 years and he gets a 2y/$16m contract?! For Philly's sake, I hope he has a couple of repeat seasons.

If pujols and other stars can get 200-300 million why shouldn't the dudes worth 2-3 mill a year get 5x what they're worth??

And the Reds added Skip Schumaker on a two year deal (And as I'm driving I might have murdered the spelling of his last name)

Seems a bit high for Hudson after his ankle injury but he should be okay for next year. Veteran presence with postseason experience is always a plus.

Now it's time for the AL to makes some moves :)

I agree. Plus in SF he has the huge park as well as he will be able to slide into the number 4 spot and won't need to be a top one or two guy.

I'm not sure if this thread is just for signings but a few FA notes:

Looks like Javier Lopez (LHP) is very close to going back to the Giants and it looks like Josh Johnson will be going back to the NL. (3 or 4 teams remaining all NL teams. Giants, Padres, Pirates, maybe another.)
