Dick Groat and Willie Mays now hold the record for longest stretch in heritage sets, they were both in the 2001 autograph set.

You are selling yourself short if you are making an opinion on the product with just 8 retail packs of cards. There are a lot of nice cards in this set. Many of the higher end
cards look nicer than cards that come from 100 dollar packs. Plus I like that heritage spurs a huge segment of traders. This is what the hobby needs!

I have secretly been a really big Bryce Harper fan for a while, I don't have any of his cards and heritage is unequivocally my favorite set, I might try and pick up a Washington Senators Harper, hopefully it's not a $400 card like I have heard some estimates.

Topps XXXX the bed on this. After the 2012 Hi # debacle, we were told they would correct the card stock issue.

they didn't

Eric, I think one thing to consider is that by 1964 the card stock had also changed. I took my 1956 Dodgers team set of 24 cards and pulled the first 24 cards of my 1964 Dodgers set. As you can see, there is a noticeable difference between the two.

Now granted, I have doubts about whether the monkeys at Topps stopped to consider this - they probably are just trying to increase profit margin by using a thinner stock. I'm sure they think the lemmings will buy anything they put out when it's got Heritage slapped on it.
