I cant say anything about the Griffey, I will leave that to the Griffey Experts. As far as the McGwire, it is 100% fake, and it's not even really close. Ask Big Mac McGwire. He will undoubtedly concur. Sorry for the bad news

I disagree, if a signature is blatantly good, people speak up. These are blatantly poor...not somewhat poor...blatantly. In fact, I'd say the same person signed them.

You were just thanked, as I was thinking the exact same thing. I just posted these on SCN, where people know what they are talking about. (Not saying you guys don't, but SCN is a more autograph oriented website) If it turns out they ARE fake, I will return them tomorrow.

Those guys are no more qualified to give an opinion than most here. Just regular collectors with varying degrees of hobby experience like the rest of us. In fact, some of us here actually have some handwriting analysis in our backgrounds.

I think in general we as hobbyists are prone to buying fake autos when we are trying to get a steal. "Autos" and "steals" rarely go hand and hand, but I'm preaching to the choir.
