Got mine in today. Absolutely pristine. There's a yellow spot on the reverse side of the ball. Sig is full, fluid and not scrunched at all.

I wouldn't call that imperfect, but I'll sure take it for $39.99 + S&H.

I can take a pic if need be.

Scanner is a cheapy, but it gets the point there. Perfect full sig.

However, I do now very much miss my old scanner:

one time i bought a hank aaron auto ball on steiner's auctions and it was listed as imperfect and the picture showed his name written in blue and black ink. won it for around $40. the ball that came in was perfect. nothing wrong with it and just 1 color ink :D

Don't want to burst your bubble but when I bought one of my Mac balls from them a few weeks ago I specially asked them to make sure the mac ball didn't have any fading etc. He said every month they go through the wherehouse and for specially for item like my mac ball as the signing when he signed for them was back in 04. He said they take all yellowed, fading and smudged balls and discount them for sales like this.

If you don't mind those kind of defaults then you made out great. But if you are a picky perfectionist like myself then you just wasted a hundo

But you never know, if 1 is perfect you will make out like bandit.

Good Luck !!

Sig is perfect, only a few very minor light stains on a side panel. Thanks for posting the deal.

Collectors like you are a minority. Most of us aren't as picky. This isn't an insult to you, as you are free to collect any way you want, and I respect the attention to detail. However, most are fine with a minor flaw on a baseball.

I wish I had known about this earlier and been able to get in on it. Congrats to those who did.

Those look great. Hank auto sure looks big. Is that how he has been signing?

Yellow/spotting is just natural on most balls. From oils in leather, to when they were handled at factory and so on. A ball can be snow white today, but many can change over a long period of time.

Sweet deal for those that got them.

i'm not playing anymore steiner games!

This was my feeling as well. I had three Aaron balls in a cart, but changed my mind because I've experienced nothing but bs from them.
After seeing the quality of some of these balls, I'll admit to being a little jealous. But ultimately I'm ok never dealing with Steiner, even if it means missing out on a (rare) deal.

Nice pickups guys!

Got mine today. Mine were pretty bad. Thumb sized stains on 2 of them plus two or three smaller stains on each. The best of the bunch had four small but dark stains. Nothing like the minor imperfections shown on everyone else's posted in this thread. Pretty bummed but par for the course I guess. Figured I'd get at least one decent one after seeing everyone else's successes. Not really the case. Buyer beware.

Is that a 1/1? Its far from perfect, as he signed it backwards

If anybody that bought extras is looking to sell one for a decent price, let me know. I missed out on the sale. It would be a great start for my new 3000 hit club project!

Got my three today and I must say they are VERY nice. Each ball has one small oil stain and they are on the opposite side of the sig. Will get a scan up soon and two will be FS....
