60 Minutes will do a segment on Albert Pujols tonight

A few of my Dominican friends know him and they say his public persona, i.e, his image, is a lot different than how he actually is. PR is PR.

Isn't this the norm? I act totally different in public or at work compared to at home or with my friends.

Im talking about the image he has as a nice guy compared to how he actually is. He has good Public relations.

Warrick Dunn was helping out people before Pujols was even born, what makes the things Albert does anymore
important? Wouldn't it be better to do a piece on all the great things major league baseball players do in their
communities rather than just focus on one guy? Or did Albert need a nice fluff piece to justify him being a
total jerk through negotiations and now sitting there with a .143 batting average??

I have never seen a more frenzied group of Pujols jock sniffers in one place than here. Crying cause someone
dared mention that he isn't even batting his weight, not to mention he let down every single Cards fan because
he wanted more money during a time when most people can't even afford to go to one single game. Now you are
all excusing the good will of many other players just cause they "aint great"

I just find it funny that Pujols has been in the league over 10 years now and we are just now hearing about this.
Amazing timing.

There are many athletes out there who give back, and most of them have never won a batting title or a super bowl
ring. Kudos to them too!

60 minutes is in business to share stories that people care about and want to see. They've been doing this better and longer than anyone around.

Pujols = ratings.

Ok, we get that you are a Phillies & Buccaneers homer but you are wrong in one way about Dunn, he is only 5 years older than Pujols. I could care less about Pujols and yes there are countless other athletes that are just as charitable if not more. But Pujols is one of the faces of the MLB, Dunn never was a face of the NFL but still it shouldn't make anything they do any less. Had it been about one of your two teams you would be all over it but because it wasn't you have to piss on it.

My comment had nothing to do with what Pujols does off the field only with what he has done on the field. I didn't see the piece so I can't comment on that, but if you notice my comment took place bfore the interview even started. There are a lot of ball players that do this kind of work off the field. Warrick Dunn comes to mind, he has been doing it for many many years now.
