Picked up a couple of 91 Score Promos today thanks to this thread! I'll scan 'em when I get 'em.

I've been curious to see which promos you picked up, any scans available yet?

Funny you should ask - just got them in today! I can scan Monday.

The Cecil Fielder has white corners, but the Dave Stewart is fantastic. Do PSA or BGS even recognize these promos?

Very nice. I think I paid around $50 for both of mine. I did pick up this pair for $10 a couple of weeks ago.

All of the Stand Up Guys Promo's are crazy steals at those prices $6 and $10 for the pair...WOW...commons usually sell for @$10, and superstars get quite expensive. Those should flip for good prices if not PC items.

Love all the samples. Heres one from '95 Leaf. The promo is the one on the right.

I read this earlier this week. I finally got around to checking my cards. I pulled out my Doubles box and out of 9 extra Bagwells, i found one exactly like your Thomas you have pictured. So, tonight I scanned it and added it to my PC. So, its a sample card? Not just a variation like Topps and the different printing letters?

Yes, PSA grades the 1991 Score promos. So far (1) Brett #120 PSA-7, (2) Puckett #200 1 PSA-6 and 1 PSA-7. Good luck if you send yours in to be graded.

If my intent is to sell them, should I have them graded in your opinion? Or would they be worth about the same raw? That Dave Stewart might have a shot at a 9.

Dave Stewart doesn't have a master set registry so I doubt there would be much interest in PSA vs. the raw card. I think it could be easier to sell on ebay since the condition isn't a question mark and the promo info is documented.

I sent a 1989 Score Bo Jackson Promo to PSA because most people hadn't seen one and didn't know it was a promo. Below are the before and after scans.

Sure... I emailed Joe Orlando a few months back asking about the
93 Score Select Stars blank back promo's and he said no. I doubt they
are going to because its subtle cropping that if you didn't know they
would look just like the regular cards.

This card is odd. Its copyright 1999, but has Bagwells Minor League photo. It says Promo on the back. I have no idea what it is...

Completely missed this thread.

Probably the second most difficult promo I've invested any energy into hunting down (sans the colla I still haven't seen) - the hardest being the '88 score.

Prior to this card I had only seen the Puckett. Last week another McGwire collector found one of these in a sample lot he bought off ebay. Talk about a great find.

Over about a 10 year period (1990-2000) ,A dealer friend of mine used to give me just about any promo card he recieved from the card companies. It didnt matter what they were,Sports or Nonsports,I took them and put them into binders.....Around 2000 I left the hobby and havent really thought about these cards much, until last week. Now I see some of these promos are going through the roof, which really shocked me,cause back when i was trying to sell them,no one wanted them!Im going to post scans of these cards in hopes someone can point out the tougher to find cards...

I dont have these promos in any particular order and the scans will show not just baseball but other cards as well
