A graded plate and it's value?

So I understand encasing to protect it but is there any huge difference in protecting them? Spill your thoughts.

Maybe if the plate is framed it could grade decent but most plates I've seen have been in the 5-7 range.

I don't know if your gonna get much of a bump by grading it, but as you stated, it does help protect them.

I think there are so many plates being produced that the value really has not shot up like a 1/1 should. As far as the grades go, I've only had one graded and I was quite happy when I got it back.
