The Nats got the best of this one. Especially since:

"The Nationals will also receive a player to be named later and a "good" prospect as part of the trade, reports Amanda Comak of the Washington Times."

A's only get Jaso ? Seems like they get ripped off in this deal.

Quality catchers are hard to come by and he had a nice season. Also under team control until 2015.

Morse, when healthy, has been extremely solid. Will be a FA next season.

I don't know who the other two prospects that will be included, but you guys always love crediting the receiver of the guy pictured on the latest chrome card as the clear winner ;).

Only time will tell.

Blake Treinen is the prospect going to the Nats from Oakland, as posted above.

Mariners lineup is looking alot better this year. I wonder if theyll go after Upton or Stanton now?

Horrible trade for the Nats. We dont want prospects that most likely wont pan out. So sick of what theyre doing. Wasting all that money on Soriano and now trading away a proven MLB player for basically nothing.

Seems to clear a path for Zunino if the M's don't make any other moves. Will we see an uptick is his auto prices?

In all fairness, the Nats got him from us (the Mariners) for basically nothing.. Ryan Langerhans straight up.

True but i still think they shouldnt have gotten rid of him. But i bet he is happy to go back with the fences being moved in.

I agree that he's a good player, but he would have been relegated to a bench/pinch hitter role
