You gotta remember the majority of those complaining have not opened this product.George_Calfas said:Update from my end:
PSA/DNA passed the auto for a second time. While this autos does differ from his others I now feel safe selling the card; which I will do.
For those whom lack reading comprehension skills I will restate this: We all understood the risk/reward to this break. No one was complaining about the hits in AIC break; sure they were a kick in the junk but that happens with all manufactures. Complaints were based on the quality of the auto (addressed above) and one of the hits being a non-pack issued sticker auto. I am fine pulling a $75 card in the product based on product potential; I find a sticker on this card less than ideal. I stand behind my purchase of this product.

Is that a prerequisite to complain?
Ya'll aren't seeing the forest for the trees. This is a baseball card discussion board. There's no admission, there's no ticket one has to buy, and with the INternet -- hell, we can talk about anything and have an opinion on anything.
Again, this is a DISCUSSION board. What we do here, amongst other things, is DISCUSS new releases of baseball cards. Whether or not one buys the product is completely irrelevant. One has the right to discuss, rationally, and calmly, the product that is being put onto the market. It's wholly possible that discussion can turn someone who had no desire to buy into a buyer. Similarly, the reverse can happen. And both of those are good things. This board should foster debate and discussion, rather than squelch it because those who don't want to spend $230 on this product aren't allowed to discuss it.
Ya'll know my issue with this product from a month ago -- the watering down of the cards I've already bought by adding yet another unannounced parallel. I won't get into that.
Without discussion, criticism, and debate, many "good things" in the hobby, of which there are admittedly few, wouldn't happen. I'm sure Panini and Topps reps monitor this forum as well as Blowout's Forum. They're taking our ideas whether or not we know it. We all know that BRian Gray watches this board like a friggin' hawk. The things we want, our criticisms of products, are going into the next versions of the product.
Criticism and debate are good. Those with thin skin who need to turn every discussion litigious -- not so much.

All good things. I believe the point was and has always been, there is a difference between those who debate and those who accuse.
You know that and if it was you and your reputation or business was being threatened, you'd go all litigious as well.

Technically, they're just "buys".
I do not have a dog in this fight.
This post brought a smile to my fat little face.

Stickers are just pathetic and lazy. I voiced my opinion to HOPEFULLY contribute to these abominations never being made again... I know they will though...![]()
