If FLEER released this card, sticker and all, I wouldn't see anything wrong with it, because it would actually be a 'buy BACK', not a 'buy a different manufacturers product and pass them off as our own'.

Yeah, I got ya man. I know that.

I'm just saying I'm not a fan of a card company buying other companies cards afterwards and inserting them into their products.

This is a rarity, but I think the stickers on the Durants was a good idea.

Agreed, besides with all the discussion here about the 'undesirability' of cards without autos, one would naturally think this Durant to be a nice collectible.

With regard to pulling Durant from future products, I'm not so sure following the advice given by the members here is *always* a good idea.

Now THAT is what should be in the product! 100X more attractive than the stickers!

Re: ADDRESSING QUESTIONS ON RRR (please read)

I don't think anyone disagrees that on card autos are better than stickers. That card shows it sold for $150, which is probably far more than it cost to include a Durant sticker in RRR. So if the Durant's cost more then you either need to include even lower value cards to offset spending more, or reduce the # of packs. So assuming packs and budget were constant, would you rather one person get a $150 card and one get a $15 or two people get $80 cards?

Personally, I don't like the "altered card" in the product at all -- that includes PSA DNA on card autos.

But, I know a lot of people do, so that's just my own personal opinion.

Re: ADDRESSING QUESTIONS ON RRR (please read)

So this thread goes back to the same old chestnut that those who hate stickers think that is a majority of the hobby. I would take on card over sticker but it wouldnt stop me from buying either.

This product isnt for everyone. I didnt buy any because i didnt see the checklist but if i did buy and pulled that durant, I wouldnt have been crushed by that.

Re: ADDRESSING QUESTIONS ON RRR (please read)

Thought I would share my thoughts, since I just spent 45 minutes reading through the thread.

I purchased 3 boxes of RRR at a card show last weekend for $ 225.00 per box. While I sent these to COMC and do not have scans to show them, I thought I would list what was pulled.

Steve Yzerman Rookie Autographed Buyback On Card Autograph PSA/DNA Authenticated

Ken Griffey Jr. UD Rookie BGS 9.5

Albert Pujols Topps Stars Rookie PSA 10

My purple prospects autos were of CJ Cron, Bubba Starling, and Mikie Mahtook.

While looking on eBay I do not think I can make back my money right now on these pulls, however I am EXTREMELY happy with what I got and thought it was a great rip. I am happy with the product and will probably open more if I can find it even with now knowing about the sticker autos.

Sorry, were you under the impression that anouncement represented what would be considered the only cards in the product.

So if you were to look at the same type of release from Topps about Bowman and they had pictures of harper auto's and you received another player, would you be outraged?

If you bought without seeing a checklist, who should you be angry at?

Re: ADDRESSING QUESTIONS ON RRR (please read)

The sheet clearly states "...hand signed previously released trading cards.."

I do not think even you Jeff could make a case that applying an aftermarket sticker to a otherwise non-auto'd card would constitute a card being "hand signed". Having said that, I have 100% faith that there will be no after market sticker cards in this product. (This is under the assumption that we can accept pack pulled sticker auto cards as 'hand signed', but even then saying they are 'hand signed' would be less than truthful unless the cards had the stickers on them before they were signed)

EDIT: I would think Brian is smart enough to NOT allow any sticker auto's in that product, aftermarket or otherwise, if he is clearly advertising all of them as hand signed cards.

Lol, I actually liked the way he worked them cards.

But yes, gluing a piece of soap signed to a card would not be considered 'hand signed card' in my book, nor by actual definition.
