I'd go with an auction house. You don't have to worry about any potential ridiculous issues that so many run into on ebay and the listing will reach a greater and more serious audience for that type of stuff.

Legendary, memory lane and huggins and scott all have auctions coming up that they are accepting consignments for consignment fee is 15-20%. Imo items like yours get a higher premium in an auction house then on ebay.

what is something like this worth?

Not a clue when it comes to the memorabilia. Whatever route you take though, keep us up to date as I'd be curious to see how it does simply because I AM clueless on memorabilia.

I just sent some things to Robert Edwards for their next auction. You have until Dec. 1st to send and they'll give $$ advances if you need it now.

PM me if you want contact info for a MEARS official to see if it might be a good item for the World Series Auction being held in a couple of weeks.

I would say it is going to go for around $750 possibly even higher maybe $2000 if the right people get in on the action. Nice signatures for sure. The funny thing about that series is it was the Browns VS St.Louis Cardinals so all of the games were played at Sportsmans Park. I would think the Cardinals are one of the more collected teams probably top 5 Yankees would be number 1 I would figure. I like that it has Billy Southworth on it, his signature is like 300 dollars usually (I wanted one for some odd reason last year.) but it is a multi-signed ball which may hurt the value a little. I would say contact the Cardinals HOF/Museum which is currently on hiatas if you don't think you would get what you want out of it but they will not give apprasials as far as value. Whatever you lose on the fact it is multisigned you will make up for with it being authenticated.

If you can get into the Robert Edwards auction, THAT is the one to go with.

I'm not sure I'd waste my time and fees on a auction house. A honus wagner t-206? Sure, but not this ball. To sell it, I'd do just what he is doing, put it out on the forums and use his shop to sell.

I think his shop is in Atlanta. If I lived in Atlanta and was a braves fan after they did'nt make the playoffs everytime I seen the word Cardinals I would puke in my mouth with some possible spillage onto the floor. I don't think Chris wants puke all over his shop.

Auction house might be best but how much is your goal? Team Auto'd ball are great but not rare.

This only a couple of nice autos beyond the Musial. The price is probably $400-$750 (max)

Tough WWII era ball with Southworth and Musial. 1944 Champs on an official ball, I would guesstimate 750-1000K. I work for H&S, we have an auction coming up and would be interested. Good luck with whatever you decide.

I have handled thousands of team-signed baseballs in my business and only a couple of 1944 WS. It is definitely tough...as a lot of mid 1940s squads are....let along a championship squad.
