I don't see a good example of a Ripken patch 1/1 sale, but a Rip auto/patch sells in the 300 range. So I can't imagine just a patch would go for more than 150. And that Koufax only sells in the 120-160 range from what I see. Seems like a wash. I don't think you could flip the Ripken for much profit.

You make a good point here. I must've read the OP wrong, I thought that it said the Ripken was an Auto/Patch not just a patch. Poor reading comprehension on my part apparently.

Go with the Koufax auto Dan....

Lots of patches around these days and who knows if it comes from a jersey that Ripken actually played in. At least with the on card Koufax auto you know he had to hold it in order to sign it.

Bingo. Everyone is throwing out the $300 number and the "easy math" argument, but I argue that the market for a Ripken non-auto'd patch is far more volatile than the Sandy.

I appreciate everyones input, and I actually think I have enough to make a different offer without Koufax, though I dont know if he will accept, will keep everyone posted though. Feel free to continue voting if you havent done so as any trade wouldnt take place until friday anyway...
