Malzahn's offense will never work in the SEC

Its really Cam making it work more then anything. Look at Brantley with Urban's Gator Heavy. Its not working. Auburn fans should enjoy it while they can at this level.

During the Arkansas/Auburn game I shouted at the tube...."Just don't #*%@!& blitz!" Of course, the Hogs blitzed and got toasted. Why any defense would blitz Newton, when he has a very questionable throwing arm is beyond me.

Actually, with noodle-armed and slow-footed Chris Todd at QB, first year in the system, Auburn was 16th in the nation in total O last season. This year, they are averaging 7 more points per game. Newton is a HUGE reason why Auburn is undefeated, but the defense (as maligned as it appears) is light years ahead of last year's defense, which had the lowest talent level on D for AU in 10 years.

Ole Miss didn't blitz. Hell, they used the WLB as a spy the whole game and didn't even pass rush with their defensive ends. That didn't work out too well for them.

Nothing Ole' Miss does has any credibility. They lost to Jacksonville State.

I'm not going to argue with you any more. You clearly will never give Auburn credit for anything. Even if the happen to beat Alabama, you will come up with some lame excuse about why it didn't really count. I don't have a problem with your being that way. It's part of fandom. I'm just not going to waste my time talking AU/Bama football with you.

It's really simple. Winner of this game wins the sec.

Lots of bama fans are discounting auburn right now, but I am not one of them. They can play with anyone on offense.

If bama is to win it will have to come by controlling cam newton and keeping him bottled up. He is an underrated passer but isn't really effective inside the pocket.

I guess you are just counting a win in Baton Rouge this week? :D

Yes Joey I am counting that one already. Lsu is a pretender.

"Wags Dixon pencil*

"Not so fast, my friend."

IF the Tigers EVER get anything out of their QB, they can play with anybody, especially at home.

And for TCU and Boise's sake, I'm rooting for Alabama, but not for Saban. Is that possible?

Even if they had Peyton Manning, a defense who gives up 440 yards on the ground in a single game would struggle to compete with anyone. In my opinion, if LSU's punter was not as good as he was in that game against Auburn, it wouldn't have been as close as the score indicated.

While this is fact, LSU still has a stout run defense. Outside of AU, they are only giving up 100 YPG on the ground.

Camton is being investigated by the NCAA.

http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/news?slug=ap-auburn-newton-recruitingscandal

Cam Newton = Gene Jelks

Same situation Alabama was in and if they don't atleast act like they are concern, Auburn will pay eventually. Alabama's biggest mistake in the Jelks and Langham saga was playing dumb and thinking because they were " Alabama" that the NCAA would go easy on them.
Chizik says in his radio show "loud and clear" that Newton is eligible. Well, DUH. He's eligible NOW. Let's see how eligible he is down the road if that money trail is firmed up and uncovered. We all know how long the Bush thing took to come to fruition. Newton will be done with the barn and well into the NFL before any of this is put to rest, possibly leaving the barn with a bunch of vacated wins and a huge black tarnish on what has otherwise been an outstanding season for them.

If this happened, Auburn should have the book thrown at them. All of their opponents should immediately be awarded victories for games that Newton appeared in. Additionally, kudos for Mississippi State for doing the right thing! It makes sense Newton would have wanted to originally have gone to Starkville with Mullin.

if it's true, Mississippi State goes down for it too.
