I think they will as well. Auburn is essentially a one man team. When Auburn loses Newton next year, they will go back to mediocrity.

You clearly don't watch them play.

As a SEC fan I most assuredly do. Dyer is OK, and the special teams are fine....but for Tigers fans to deny they are a "one man team" is to ignore the last few years. Stop Newton on the run, they are in serious, serious trouble. Dude can't throw the ball more than 20 yards. Saban is a superior coach and will be able to scheme Newton just like he was able to with Tebow. Final: Alabama 37---Auburn 20

You have got to be trolling here. Newton didn't even try to run yesterday and AU lit up Ole Miss. Would you be willing to place a wager on that ridiculous prediction?

And Dyer has more rushing yards than either of Bama's great RBs.

How is it a ridiculous prediction? Bama' contains Newton and lays waste to your pee-wee league defense. That is not feasible? Arkansas's second string QB lit you up for Four TD's at your place. Who's not to say that a heavy dose of Ingram/Richardson and some well-timed PA won't do the same?

You honestly think Bama is going to roll Auburn by 17 and hold them to 20 points? Nobody has even come CLOSE to stopping their offense. Bama is just going to completely shut it down? Based on what?

As of yesterday, Bama' has the number two scoring defense in the nation. They are playing at home for a berth in the SEC title game and are not out of the running for a NT. Saban is a great "big game" coach who knows how to scheme specialized offenses (i.e. Tebow 2009 SEC Title game). Auburn's rush defense is pourous and Ingram/Richardson can burn a lot of clock while setting up PA for long downfield strikes. Contain Newton to around 100 yards rushing, the rest of the team will follow. Feel free to disagree with me. I have been right many times and have been wrong nearly as many....that's the fun of CF predictions.

Auburn's porous rush defense allows less YPC and only 3 YPG more than Bama's.

Glad I'm not a fan of either team, so I'll be able to enjoy what should be a great game with out any heavy bias.

If I had a pick though, I would hope Auburn loses just to eliminate another unbeaten. I'm all for BCS chaos at the end of the season.

I love all this Auburn love, especially all of the "new" Auburn fans popping up around town. Even if they luck up and beat Bama, they have no chance of beating Oregon in the NT Game. I don't think that will be a concern because Saban will find a way to stop laptop. As a coach, Cheesedick couldn't tie Sabans shoes, much less wear them.

I'm a Bama fan and definitely hope for the best in a couple of weeks... but whoever says that Dyer is just OK obviously hasn't been watching football this year... and needs a beating. That kid is as strong and fast as anyone in the SEC.

Yesterday, it looked like Cam was the tallest person in Oxford. I think Cam will leave based on if Malzaln becomes a HC somewhere. Rule of thumb is that its better to jump jobs for a OC/DCwhen your hot instead of waiting like Will Muschamp did with Texas. He might not have Mack Brown's job now because his defensive players look like they would rather be doing something else on Saturday's.

Malzaln better get the most money asap. Look at why his system works:

The spread 1st came about to provide passing lanes for WR's

Two offensive minded coaches we know added a twist: Rich Rodriguez and Urban Meyer started to use the spread to create running lanes.

Malzaln then adds his twist to the formation by making it basically the wishbone in the spread formation forcing defenses to play assignment football. You have to have one guy assigned to take the running back, you have to have a guy assigned to take the receiver coming around on the reverse, you have to have a guy assigned to take the Quarterback, and you have to cover the wide receivers. Malzaln is betting that the guy you assign to take Newton can't handle him one on one just like Meyer did with Tebow, and so far....no one has been able to win that bet. Meyer used Tebow to get the ball into other playmakers hands while in Malzaln's offense: Cam is the playmaker. Malzaln's uses all the motions and reverse to spread out the defenses assignments further away from Cam which provide the time and room for Cam to make huge plays.

Tony Dungy said that Malzaln's offense will be gone once teams buy into the concept that you need to play your base package in zone and let Cam/ball carrier come to you . Defenders are taught since pee wee football to go the ball carry once he is out of your zone. The key is to keep Cam in front of you and not reverse yourself out of the play by leaving your zone.

Saban or Stoops will stop this eventually. With all this type, I still like watching Auburn and think this years Iron Bowl is going to be something to watch.

I'll be rooting for Bama. Sadly.

Anything that helps Boise State get a shot at the title game

Very nice analysis. Malzahn IMHO would be an awful head coach in a major conference. His gadget and trick offenses may have worked well in high school, or C-USA with Tulsa, but it's only a matter of time before he is figured out.
