When did you realize there even was a game 5?  The chops busting will not stop anytime soon, FYI.

The reverse jinx boomo style seems to have had good results in the past.

Anyway, good to see the man in your signature come through.

I love when people claim to "jinx" a game. But a "reverse jinx"? That might be one of the dumbest things I have ever heard. I can assure you-what you say has NO impact or influence on the game. None. Zip. Zilch. Notta.

I was happy, because what he did had no impact on the game. Once we were down 4-1 in the 7th, this game was just about done. Soriano, Robertson, Rivera facing us?

I was glad to see that ARoid actually has a pulse. When he got his 1st single I thought for a second he was celebrating his 600th HR-but then I realized he just never gets on base in the postseason, so it all started making sense. I believe something like 3-28 or something lifetime against the Tigers in the postseason.  ::facepalm:: ::facepalm::

I enjoyed reading how this thread starts out "yay Yankees" to "the seasons over" then back to "yay Yankees".

I don't know why everybody is so critical of ARod in this series. Not one single player on the Tigers has more RBIs than ARod this series. Of course, you can say that players don't control RBI, but I've seen quite a few missed opportunities in this series, where a guy had a runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs, but didn't get the run home.

Girardi is over-managing this game, and I LOVE it.

If Leyland pulls Fister here, in my opinion it is a huge mistake. I do not trust our bullpen outside of Benoit. That includes Valverde, LOL.

I'm hoping Scherzer can close this game out. I don't want Valverde in there. After Valverde's comments about the series being over, putting him on the mound would be like throwing red meat to lions.

True but he always likes to make it harder then it needs to be. He seems to always let a couple guys get on before finishing the game and against the Yankees you can only get away with so many mistakes before they make you pay. Hopefully Scherzer can close it out.

Wow, that could have been a disaster for the Tigers.

That struck me as odd too. He gave up a wimpy infield hit to Jeter and is immediately pulled.
