Andrus wouldn't have made the team had Washington not been the manager....Mike Aviles has been FAR better defensively & arguably offensively [43 RBIs]. Not saying Aviles should be an All-Star but it's easy for me to use him as an example because I watch him everyday.

If defense played a role in the voting then Brett Lawrie would be on the team. Period.

Defense doesn't really play a part because every player is in the game what...an inning or two? Even the worst defensive players could get away without f***ing up for that amount of time. Load up on offense and give the fans a show.


I wanted Salty to make the team because he could be a difference maker offensively....he has some serious power in that swing.

Again, I'm only arguing that defense CAN (doesn't always necessarily) play a part at the C and SS positions. Not 3B (like you suggested with Lawrie), not 1B, etc. Just C and SS.
