Cole Hamels

8-2 and the lowest ERA of any of the pitchers with 8 wins.

Thats all.

I agree. I follow him since he's on my fantasy team and he seem to dominate every start.

If you could magically take away that first start clunker his ERA would be 2.27.

He's also averaging more than 1 K/IP again...

Ill take Cole, his 8 wins, all his strikeouts, and his 2008 WS MVP.

Thanks

Id take Hamels on the mound over a one year wonder.

Total homer pick, but Zambrano would be 7-2 or 8-2 if Marmol wouldn't have blown saves his last couple of starts. Besides, he's also hitting over .300.

Sorry, carry on.

Kevin,

I'm a huge Jair Jurrjens fan(still can't believe the Tigers traded him and Gorkys for Edgar Renteria ::facepalm:: ::facepalm:: ), but I do agree with you I would take Hamels over him-but Jurrjens is no one year wonder. Check out his 2009 season with a 2.60 ERA, and even 2008 with a 3.68 ERA.

Both are having fine years so far.

Jair easily right now. End of the year maybe not. Yes I'm a homer but no Braves fan can say they expected him to be our ace. Heck I thought he might lose his job and be trade bait during the season but now he's probably going to be the NL AS starting pitcher.

Didn't Hamels get ROCKed all over the place last year?
Where were you when he was getting rocked? Did you post about it then?
Thought so

Kyle Lohse?

7-2 with a 2.41 ERA in 12 starts. .988 WHIP.

I'd say Hamels & Lohse are very close. Hamels has the ever so slight edge in WHIP & K:BB.
