What the hell was that? Just let a fly ball drop to score a run that landed ten feet from the plate.

I don't know which play made me smack my head harder- That one, Doumit's loss of the ball rolling away from home, or Komatsue being out at third by 10 steps after hesitating at second on the overthrow...

I guess I haven't missed much happy stuff by only watching an inning worth so far

Plouffe is not helping himself here... Cost a run on the dropped fly ball and cost a run by not taking another second to avoid the tag on the double play.

Have you seen it or a picture at all? Would be cool to get signed, but would be better if it has some identification to him. The bat has some pine tar, but a lot less than the one unauthenticated at the Majestic shop for $100, and a crack on the handle but seems stable enough to hold its weight in a display case. Should I use a silver sharpie to get it signed, or a blue lumicolor, or something else?

Looks like its a black bat, yes?
if so, not sure why you would do blue.
Silver will pop off of the black background.

Silver paint pen or sharpie then?

To be honest, Im not that big of a fan of paint pens, so I would probably stick with the sharpie.
All of my bats have been signed in blue sharpie and they look great, cant see why silver sharpie would look just as good on a black bat.

I think silver is best but I'm not sure if Sharpie is the way to go, those things don't seem to have a nice solid flow on cards from what I've seen and a bat is obviously a rounded surface with texture to deal with as well.

It isn't the best picture but here is what a silver sharpie would look like. There is a little streak in the D but other than that I like the way it looks. I know other people use paint pens but I have never used one before.

Make sure you bring your own brand new silver sharpie to the signing and just test it a little right before you give it to him. Silver sharpies are ok, but have to be fresh and new to get a good sig out of one.

I wish the GU sticker on the Plouffe wasn't on the left side of his name, takes away the space to sign it before the pine tar, not sure if it's worth moving or not

UPS seems to be run by monkeys. Try all you want, but it's pretty hard to deliver packages with signature confirmation in the morning on weekdays, and their online redirecting was a mess last time I tried.

This game better play tonight, otherwise seems like they'd have to make it up in a day/night tomorrow and move/cancel the signing.

Twins need to make the Blue Jays pay for the extreme shifts, can't be too hard for a major league player to send a ball down the opposite line, even if it's a weaker grounder.

Plouffe needs to go a la Valencia

I can't find it anymore, but I remember seeing a tweet from someone the day that Valencia got sent down and they said that Terry Ryan and Gardenhire were both down on Hughes, Valencia, and Plouffe. Hughes got DFA'd, Valencia sent down, Plouffe definitely looks like he will be DFA'd soon enough. He's hitting worse than Butera this year.
