I can't find it anymore, but I remember seeing a tweet from someone the day that Valencia got sent down and they said that Terry Ryan and Gardenhire were both down on Hughes, Valencia, and Plouffe. Hughes got DFA'd, Valencia sent down, Plouffe definitely looks like he will be DFA'd soon enough. He's hitting worse than Butera this year.
I wonder if Plouffe would clear waivers.

I could care less about going to the Plouffe/Swarzak signing and I know that Casilla isn't much better than those 2 but I haven't gotten him before and I was either going to get him on an 8x10 or his 2012 Topps Heritage card. Oh well I guess.

No, what's funny is EVERY single signing that is posted you state your intention to go, yet you rarely if ever go. I was rooting for you, hence why I took the longshot this time around. I know taking the longshot is a risk, but I went for it, thought it might finally come out a winner. Now I know in the future to always bet the favorite. ;-) =))

On another subject, I forgot to post this the other day but when I was at the Angels game the other day I ended up standing next to Mike Trout's uncle for awhile. I went down for Auto's (0/2 now on the Angels, they only sign right before the game rather than during BP which sucked) and when Trout walked by he was talking to him for a bit. I left after BP was over but as I was sitting in my seat about 20 minutes later I see Trout come out to talk with him and started signing for some fans. I was pretty upset at the time that I didn't stay down there haha I guess I've been having some pretty back luck lately..

Not every single one... just most of them.

It's my intention to go, but plans change. It sucks that it happens most of the time.

That sucks.

How is TF for signing? It seems to change every time I go.

Also, I don't blame you for driving 3 hours to get Plouffe, who in their right mind would do that, let alone make their intentions known to do that? ;-) I won't even drive across town for it.

Last year I think I got at least 1 player to sign something during BP every game except one time but this year I am now 0 for 2. Both games were against the Angels so that might have something to do with it but I never really try and get the Twins since it is much more crowded and we can get them basically whenever since they are here. I do know that 90% of the time I see Span signing down there. I think he's the only person that is almost a guarantee to sign most games.

Well I ended up having a change of plans and tried to make it to the Casilla signing. Left my place at about 11:50 not expecting to get there in time but sped my way through traffic to get there at 12:15 with 15 minutes left and nobody was there. Don't know how long there was no line for but I walked right up and got 2 cards signed. I can post scans later if anybody is interested.

Great time at the signing, will get some pictures in a little bit, but totals are:
4 Plouffe printing plates
1 Swarzak Topps rookie
1 Swarzak Topps base
1 Swarzak Topps TF stamp
1 Swarzak BP hat- Looked up the date on the MLB website and it was authenticated on 10/23/09, later checked and it's team issued on that day, but had him sign Game Used 10/23/09
1 Plouffe GU bat signed "Game Used 9/11/11, God Bless #America!"
