Great stuff once again CG.

Twins always have great giveaways. Anyone get the Minny-Sota logo from this year shaking hands. I think that is what it was called. Looked really cool. Do the hardcore collectors still start lining up the night before for the good giveaways at Target Field?

Thanks, Match. I haven't done the camp out thing for many years now, but I would guress there are some folks who do. My brother is a season ticket holder, and back at the beginning of the season they gave him an opportunity to receive all the SGA for a fee. Something like $50 or $100 per ticket. He bought it, but I don't know how they ship (or have him pick up) all that stuff! I'm hoping to get a thing or two out of it, since he doesn't get into SGA stuff, but some things he does like. The Minnie-Paul Bobblehead is a real popular item, I'm sure.

I was at the Minnie and Paul Bobblehead giveaway this year. We arrived at 730 and were right up by the gate, probably 20-30 deep in line. By the time we go thru the gate and walked down to Hrbeks, they were gone, so like 10-15 mins.

I was also at the Target Field replica giveaway. Based on the Minnie and Paul giveaway, I thought we had to be there just as early. That wasnt the case. We were first inline somehow, got there 5 hours before the gates opened. Anyways, an hour after the gates opened, they were still handing them out.

Was at the Mothers Day game too, first 5,000 ladies got pink TC earrings. Got there 30 mins after the gates opened, we were told they were gone within 10 mins. I didnt see 5,000 women in the stadium at that time, so either they shorted the giveaway or they gave them to everyone.

I've gotta start getting some scans back in this thread. Haven't been around here alot lately.

Anyways, should be interesting to see how the Sox approach the game tonight and the series. If they don't sweep, or at the very least take 2 of 3, its going to be pretty exciting here in MN. I'm hesitant to wave the championship flag yet because of what we accomplished last september, but I've got playoff fever so we'll see what happens. It will be nice if we can lock it without having to go game 163 for the 3rd straight year.

Any predictions tonight?

Cool, scans of twins stuff are always wanted here!

I got a bad feeling about this Chicago series. I'll be happy with just getting 1 of 3.
Tonight I see 6-3 White Sox win.

I was actually thinking the same score but in the Twins favor. It seems like when Liriano and Danks match up, Liriano has a better outcome. Lets hope that thats the case tonight, but playing in Chicago is a whole new game so we could just get beat by the longball like the sox have done historically.

I'll pop a scan in here too I guess. Sold it to a member here when I needed a little cash, but how fitting that he's on the mound tonight:

Francisco vs. Danks tonight, Duensing vs. Floyd Wed. and Pavano vs. Buerhle Thursday nite. No reason to not see a sweep with our top 3 pitchers going in the series, but we'll see. I like the 6-4 score too. Twins Win!

All depends if the bats are awake or not.
Getting shutout the first 20 innings in Cleveland last week was
I believe our pitching can out dual Chicago's, so as long as the bats are around, Twins take 2 of 3 minimum, if not a sweep. If the bats are dead, we are 1 of 3 at best or get swept.

Having the bats go asleep in Cleveland was embarrassing. But we took the series, so that's still the focus. Hope to see Revere get a little more time this week. Maybe this weekend when they come home. Give the kid a start in front of the home crowd (and give Span a night off.)

Congrats to Joe Mauer, collecting hit 1,000 in the first inning tonight.

Happy Birthday to Delmon Young, hitting a bomb on his 25th birthday tonight.

Nice win last night. Had to get one in Chicago, now just to split the last two and it's just about over.

Never see this Mauer cert come up for sale. One time I was working on this set. But just way too many super sp's like his.
Probably my favorite auto card of his. Has to have print run of less than 20-25. Will be interesting if it sells on bo.

I saw that Mauer, too - I was wondering if the seller was high with that BIN price, but I never realized that Masterpieces had SPs in the auto set. Great looking card, wish I had some extra disposable money to throw at it!

Price is very high. I only saw one of his hit ebay in few months I was working on doing that set. It went for $70ish at the time. I knew it was tough to find. I should have bid higher on it. Just one of those things, where you think another will just pop up. Never saw another of his show up when I was checking all the time. Morneau is another one from set that is super sp.

Here is my Span pickup that I got in the mail today. I never saw this card pop up anywhere and was worried that I never would since nobody opens any Opening Day. Gladly I saw it up FS on The Bench. Nice looking card but I wish the auto was a little better. This is also my 100th Span card and 69th different. Hoping to continue putting dents in the list.
