Never seen that Span cert before. Very cool design on those.

Yeah I have only seen a couple Opening Day Auto's from this year and I was curious to see what the Span looked like. Very happy I could find it though because if I didn't this season, I mostly likely never would.

Never see this Mauer cert come up for sale. One time I was working on this set. But just way too many super sp's like his.
Probably my favorite auto card of his. Has to have print run of less than 20-25. Will be interesting if it sells on bo.

Is it from 2007? I just checked my SCD Annual, and it's not listed in 2007. I don't have a 2008 list to compare. Nice auto though. (still overpriced!)

I saw that Mauer, too - I was wondering if the seller was high with that BIN price, but I never realized that Masterpieces had SPs in the auto set. Great looking card, wish I had some extra disposable money to throw at it!

Price is very high. I only saw one of his hit ebay in few months I was working on doing that set. It went for $70ish at the time. I knew it was tough to find. I should have bid higher on it. Just one of those things, where you think another will just pop up. Never saw another of his show up when I was checking all the time. Morneau is another one from set that is super sp.

Any idea on what the Morneau could sell for? I'm pretty sure I just saw it when I was out the other day and if I could make something off of it I would love that.

Yeah it is from 2007 set.

Have no idea what Morneau would bring. It really is hit or miss on pricing. Just have to hope two people on Ebay really want it or set collectors still trying to do the set are looking. I know it is one sp in the set. Very rare to see it show up. Isn't it one of the few recent Morneau on card autos? I don't follow his stuff that much.

Another great win last night!!! Would be nice for Twins to be able to coast into playoffs now instead of fighting to game 163.

Well hopefully I'm not reacting too soon here, I know that has happened in the Twins favor before, but I'm not even thinking about the Sox anymore, my eyes are on homefield as we are only 1/2 back of the Yankees and 1 back of the Rays. They play each other 4 games next week and if they keep beating each other up we could come away with it.

I think I'm at the point where I'd rather face Tampa in the first round, and potentially face the Yankees (or the Rangers!) in the second round. There's just something about facing the Yanks in the first round, even though this year is different and all. Plus having home field will be big this year for the Twins.

Although I would like to face the Rays in the first round as well, I would almost rather have it be the Yankees so we guarantee home field agaisnt them. That is our best chance. If we face Tampa in the first round with home field and New York has a better record then we would be playing there for the ALCS. Although the Rangers did just sweep the Yanks in Texas, I don't see them winning any in NY.

With a win and sweep tonight, it would be nice to say 9 games up in first, and 30 games above .500 with 16 or 17 to go. If we keep playing like we are, there is a shot at homefield advantage and a 100 win season. We've gotta go 13-4 but it may be possible

Yeah and I don't remember if it was MLB Network or ESPN but one of them mentioned the other day that we have the best record since the break but we won't do anything in the playoffs because our starters will get rocked. It would be nice for them to shut 'em up.

Nice dominant showing in Chicago. That has to be the big three going into playoffs. Saw they are giving out knit caps on Saturday. Those statues looked really cool they said are around town, that are now going to be auctioned.

Well only our 3rd lost series since the break. I was at the game today and it never seemed quite right at the ballpark. I did get my Denard Span giveaway so I was pleased with that. Anyway congrats to Ben Revere for his 1st MLB Hit. Also hope Mauer isn't out too long with his knee..

yep, nice to see Ben get his first hit. Did Span giveaway go fast? Gardy can now start resting a few guys. Wonder if we will see Morneau soon.

I'm skeptical about seeing Morneau soon. He'd have to go somewhere to see live pitching that's not quite major league level yet, just to get some practice in. Talk about working the rust off! Sounds like he's getting closer, but I don't think they'll start him by pinch-hitting or DHing a little. Gardy would want him to get out there and see how it goes.

What was up with Fransico today? Bad start pitching and the bats were quiet again. Indians coming to town have played the Twins hard all year. They will not be a cakewalk series.

I don't think so but I'm not 100% sure. I was there about 30 min. before the gates open and was first in line. I caught some BP and almost got a ball but it bounced back onto the field.

Anybody snag some playoff seats yesterday or today? I got Game 1 and Game 3 earlier this morning about 5 minutes after the pre-sale began.

Lucky! I wish I had the money to grab a game. Never been to a playoff game...

My brother got all his season ticket stuff for next year already and the playoff stuff. I'm really hoping I can hook up with him (hoping for a Tuesday night game, since he teaches on Tuesday nights! 8-) ) Either way, it's only a matter of time, and keeping up with the Yanks/Rays for the best record.

I would love to clinch at home this series, let's hope oakland keeps playing good ball. I think cahill is on the mound, so that could work out in our favor
