Time for a G-Man alert!

On a side note, I've been pleased to hear that Joe has been hanging in at Spring Training, and getting a little mop-up action here and there. Was listening online the other day, Brian Dinkelman came into the game and the Tampa guys had no idea who he was! He wasn't on their roster or list. "Now in at second, #92, whoever he is! We apologize to his family in case they are listening online." Priceless. No I'll have to look for that #92 jersey at a Pro Shop or Twinsfest.

Anyway, just got this card in Refractor #299

newgg.jpg

Which gives me this rainbow (out of order, sorry) base, autograph, refractor #/299, gold ref. #/25. There's a #/10 version out there--was on the 'Bay a few weeks ago, but I wasn't around when it ended, and it went way higher than I would have thought (or bid) anyway!

Just as I suspected, Cuddy is in for a return to 07 form this year (so far). All you people who bought into the Span hype and claimed the Twins needed to trade Cuddy, please remember who you are.

I would just like to point out that I bought into the Span hype, but wanted (still want) Gomez to be on the bench more than the rest.

Go Phil Humber!

I'd like to point out that Gomez was like 1 or 2 in the league in outfield saves last year. Check out the SI article, they love him.

Does Cuddy have any trade value, would be nice if he got hot and Twins could find a taker for that contract. .

Oh I know. The Fielding Bible loves him (loves Span too).

I just think he is to inconsistent offensively at this point. In a year or so he'll be a stud. Right now though, I think our best outfield is Young, Span, Cuddy.

I'd say there is actually more of a question with Delmon right now, rather than Gomez. At least you can already see a bit of the great player in Gomez.

And I think Span played over his level last year.

The way Young is swinging the bat tonight that is tough to argue.

Span was certainly over his level last year. But at this moment he is a more patient, consistent hitter than Gomez. Once Carlos starts to improve in those areas he'll be the best of the bunch. You know I was happy with the Santana trade when it occurred, and that was mostly because of Gomez.

Cuddy got real lucky on that AB. He should have been rung up 2 pitches before that 2 RBI hit.

Wow, great finish.

One guy on, another one, another one... on and on, all with two outs.

Great finish.

Buscher was impressive. First at bat of the season, bottom of the ninth, and he stays patient enough to work the walk.

What a game! Cuddy did get a big gift on the non-call on the 2-2 pitch that split the plate.
