georgianni123 - Block this guy.

Ebay's feedback policy for sellers absolutely sucks. I'm getting non-payers like crazy now because there is absolutely nothing we can do except file an unpaid strike against them.

The guy offered on 2 of my John Mayberry Sterling Auto 9.5s. I accepted. A couple days later he asks if he could pick them up. I don't respond because I'm not sure yet whether I want to do that as it is not in my normal terms. He sends a second message a day later and I decide that yes, I will allow it. I tell him where he can pick the cards up. I get no reply. I send another invoice telling him to either tell me when he's going to pick them up or to pay the shipping and we can complete the deal. No reply. So after two weeks of no response I file a NPB. He responds to that demanding stating that if I take the NPB off he might pay me my fees back. Now, why would I be concerned over 35 cent listing fees when I know I'll get the FVFs back when the unpaid strike goes through? I wouldn't. The guy is trying to back out. So I state that I want to complete the transaction and will ship the cards out immediately. He tells me that he doesn't want the cards because he can't flip them now. I tell him that his ability to flip the cards has nothing to do with our contract and the guy goes nuts. He starts telling a series of lies in the dispute thread stating that I'm trying to sub the 9.5's for lesser cards and that the ones he bought are not available. Just stupid stupid stuff. Needless to say, this guy is not worth the hassle.

Added to my list, sorry you had to go through the BS.
I'm about to file 3 NPB's tonight.

I know what you mean, re: the feedback system. It allows buyers to buy something, then continue to shop around for a better deal with no repercussions. I sold a Lebron auto a few weeks back when his stuff was moving up for about $220. The guy didn't pay, so 2 weeks later I relisted it, and it sold for $206. That guy ALSO didn't pay. So now the Cavs are out of the finals, Lebrons cards have come back down to earth a bit, so instead of making a little money on the card, I can barely get back what I paid now.

sold a dwight howard auto rc for $140 last sunday now the buyer says he can't pay due to a bounced check he received. funny, he's still buying other stuff and has sold tons to cover the cost of my card. hmm, i'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that he can buy the card now for about $105

I just went back in to my resolution center and noticed that ebay reversed the strike. WTF ebay?! Seriously what good is it to file a NPB if they are going to reverse them even when the buyer states directly through ebay messages that they won't pay because they can't flip the card anymore. This makes me angry...so freaking angry.

I am likewise getting very annoyed and sick of this too. I have half a notion to just make all my auctioins bin with immediate payment. So what if I lose a couple bucks, I am tired of the hassle of dealing with these people.

Wow...seriously. That's crazy. I wish eBay hasn't become such an integral part of collecting.

It just makes me sick. I can't leave him appropriate feedback and now the only "punishment" that I'm legitimately allowed to levy against him has been removed. This is so incredibly angering.

That's a load of horseshit Jim, Ebay is so screwed up....sorry that happened and I am adding that POS to my blocked bidder list right now. He is not worth the potential hassle.

Here is a prime example of the problem. Block Daredevil9696. This guy won 2 Beckham BGS cards from me last week and has not paid. He listed the same exact 2 cards for sale right after he won them. I just opened the UPI tonight. He wont be paying me unless they sell for a profit. .

Calm down Jim. The situation sucks, but we live by a higher standard. Each will be rewarded according to his due.

Maybe we should post a sticky of buyers/sellers to block and a brief description of why they should be blocked. Since E bay won't do anything about this then we might be able to put together a list that might make a small dent in these d bags wallets.

Isn't he just setting himself up for a Paypal claim, because he probably won't be able to ship the item within 7 days of payment?

That is crazy... lol. It might have worked had Beckham not tanked his first week.

I anxiously hope that Sportsbuy or another site will overtake ebay.

I'm done with eBay...and I've been a powerseller for over three years...too many non-payers, fees are too high, feedback system change is ridiculous.

I also hope someone takes over for them, and truly the only option I see as a big-time improvement is checkoutmycards.com (the 20% they take is a little steep + the processing fees for cards, but the advantages of every sale actually being instant payment, never having to scan another card, never having to ship anything, and never having to deal with any communications with people is AWESOME and totally worth it...to me). Believe me, I am in no way affiliated with the site (other than as a seller and buyer on it), but I'm so sick of eBay that I'm close to including cards with my seller ID and a note saying that this site is better than eBay with every last card I ship from now on.
