Anyone been keeping up with Daron Sutton's suspension?

Sutton, the play-by-play announcer for the Dbacks, has been off TV for a while now.

Rumors initially were that he had a "personal matter" he had to take care of. Next, it was that he was involved in a heated dispute with management over something. Then, rumors were that he was involved in a dispute over the on air dress code, with most people assuming that it was because the Dbacks wanted him to wear a suit and tie while on tv.

Now, it has been revealed that it is just the opposite: Dbacks management wants Sutton and Mark Grace in collared shirts, not suits and ties. Something similar to Casual Friday attire, but Sutton wants to wear a suit and tie. Due to his "insubordination", Sutton has been removed from TV until further notice.

[Yahoo Sports] "Apparently the differing opinions over what constitutes a professional appearance has been a point of contention between the two sides for most of Sutton's six years in the Arizona booth, and the powers that be finally decided to put their foot down after Sutton made what Piecoro termed as a "veiled reference" to the dress code during the June 20 broadcast. Sutton was nowhere to be found for the June 22 broadcast against the Chicago Cubs, and hasn't been seen or heard from on a broadcast since.

Though the length of Sutton's suspension is not yet known, Piecoro says that he's definitely not scheduled to rejoin the Arizona television crew on its current road trip. Crasnick even went as far as to predict that he doesn't see this situation ending well, so it's entirely possible Sutton has called his last game for Arizona. But I guess we'll have to stay tuned to the situation to find out."

Boss: “Hey Sutton, can I have a word with you?”
Sutton: “Sure Boss, whats on your mind?”
Boss: “I have been thinking, perhaps casual ware would be better than the 'shirt and tie' look..?”
Sutton: “Hmm.. I like where you are going, but I prefer the more traditionally professional look”
Boss: “Ok, well try and consider what I have said, ok?”
Sutton: “Uh, ok sure. Have a great day!”


Later that night.....


Boss: (to wife) “Honey, today I told that insignificant schrew Sutton to wear casual ware from now on andhe said 'NO', can you believe that commoner said no to me? ME!?!?”
Wife: “He did not! How dare he talk to such a rich and powerful man such as yourself like that! He cannot get away with this, this is simply uncalled for!!!


Wife runs to call her friends and gossip about the travesty unfolding...


A while later....


Wife: “I just got off the phone with Kathy, Cindy, Mary, Brooke, and Tyra, all agree such a underclassmen should not be talking to you like that and we all agree his insulance can not go unpunished! Make him feel the wrath of a rich and powerful man!
Boss: “Yes, you are right! How dare he, he will pay!!”


A few days later....


Boss: “Hey Sutton, I see you are still in a suit and tie?”
Sutton: “Of course, it's a professional demeanor I would not work without!”
Boss: “I thought we agreed that casual was the way to go, going forward?”
Sutton: “With all due respect, I really prefer the professional look of a shirt and tie. It not only makes me look and feel good, but it's just who I am.”
Boss: “Look here Sutton, I want casual ware, you are GOING to give me casual, understand?”
Sutton: (low murmer and grumble....)
Boss: “What? What did you say?”
Sutton: “Look here, I am a professional, I am going to dress professional as I see fit and as is traditionally accepted.”
Boss: “How dare you speak to me this way, you insignificant little man! You will dress how I tell you, when I tell you, where I tell you! I am the king, the ruler of your universe! You wish you were me and if I say to wear a bunny suit, you do it!”
Sutton: “F$%K YOU!, your a jerk off and your wife has a horse face!”


Sutton walks away waiving goodbye witha single finger.....


Later that night the Boss has dinner with a few of his buddies...


Boss: (to buddies) “So, I fired that peasant Sutton today...”
Buddies: “Why?”
Boss: “Itold that piss ant that if he did not wear a bunny suit to work tomorrow he could kiss his job goodbye, he fell to my feet sniffeling and groveling, begging for mercy. I just cant have someone so spineless working for me. Besides, his wife has a horse face.”

Always liked him when he was an announcer for the Angels. Got to meet him once at an Angels signing and he was really friendly.
