.350avg 17HR 91RBI and broke the single season hit record that was held by Ichiro. Looks like he's got a following in Japan and his team is in the playoffs. Some of you might have some of these laying around collecting dust.

Wow...good for him. I didn't even know he was playing in Japan. Looks like now is the time to sell off any left over Murton's

Why would anyone bid $30 when there is one sitting at a $12 BIN

Back in the Spring Training of '09, both Matt Murton and Dexter Fowler were having great pre-season stats. Because of Fowler's top-prospect qualities, he was chosen as the final roster spot over Matt. He (Matt) was left to have success in Colorado Springs. In hindsight: Matt Murton would have been a better roster fill than the under-achieving Fowler.

Edit: Thanks for deleting my double post, moderator. :D

They aren't shipping out of the United States. International bidders are whats driving up his prices.

Pity performance in Japan only boosts card prices if your name is Darvish, otherwise I'd be sitting on a gold mine with all these extra Tuffy Rhodes cards I have. I wonder how long Murton will stay in Japan if he keeps hitting like that. If he can make the transition, he'd be a huge bargain as a free agent coming back to MLB.

Not to take anything away from Matt Murton, but...

*Disclaimer: The Japanese season is now 14 games longer than when Ichiro set his record.

And the baseball and football seasons here in the states are both longer now.....So all of those records are "tainted" in some ways.
