Im sorry but I am not buying a card that looks like this, unless it was a Biggio card I needed and even then would be a struggle for me to get it....

It looks like a wicked sweet card, but Leaf and other card compaines have got to work with MLB and NFL to get to licensing to put logos and team names on the cards. It looks like he is wearing a cheap public high school jersey!

#/50 for under $3 shipped per card is hardly a risk to buy.

All in all, I think the market is more welcoming of these direct to buyer items. And the wide multi-sport audience reach is fantastic to broaden the penetration.

Agreed. I snagged one. Figured at the very least I could get my money back.

I picked up a /50 set and a base set. I don't really care about the football & basketball so I'll try to sell those individually. Maybe try for an IP auto of Puig during spring training for PC.

You need to understand the landscape of the industry and realize that it is impossible for small companies to obtain what you require.

Its do it like this or not at all.

Looks like the /50 and /25 have now joined the /10 in sellout mode.

[phil]230917080691[/phil] - already a Lillard /5 at $40 too and I highly doubt it's done.

Really? Last time I checked, Upper Deck and Panini and Leaf were not small companies....

You sure know your facts. I cant wait to see these upper deck and panini cards with mlb logos you are going to show us to shut everyone up.

Do you guys think the base sets are worth buying at all? Maybe BGS the Lillard? Do you see any potential profit? Obviously if they were numbered they would be a lot better.

I think the numbered parallels would be good flips, but obviously those are sold out. Break even seems like a given selling the base set individually, possibly a small profit. If you get BGS 10's you can do well (9.5's are fairly common on Leaf cards, and barely garner any premium).

With Leaf and Panini cards going cheaply -- as compared to Topps/Bowman autos -- is there a marketplace for the unautographed card anymore? I mean, look at Bowman Chrome non-autos -- golds are $10-15 of decent prospects whereas they used to be $50-75. The non-auto'ed card seems to be hurting.
