3 Homers tonight against the Astros. He has been on fire since coming off the D.L. towards the end of June. Has raised his average over 60 points since his return. Nice to see him back to form, but we sure could have used it at the beginning of the year.

I only mention this b/c it seemed like every time I turned on Baseball Tonight or SC, he was hitting a bomb. Was surprised his numbers were "only" this.

He's been hot, regardless.

Actually he has 10 hrs and 25 RBI since that time frame. He has 9 for this month alone.

Another Cub that is quietly having a nice year is Tyler Colvin....Not huge numbers but is contributing offensively and defensively in almost every game that Lou plays him.....

Yes, unfortunately his .160 average from the cleanup spot for the first two months did some damage to the Cubs' chances. Wouldn't be surprised if he finishes at .270 with 25+ bombs and 80+ RBI.
