I've placed about 400 votes...and of course Lamb is in 4th in the first update. We just can't compete with fans with more teams. At least he's ahead of everyone's favorite cheater Ryan Braun.

Hopefully he can still get in with injuries and stuff.

Yeah, it's one big popularity contest and unfortunately our fan base can't compete with teams like the Giants & Pirates or the feel good rookie story of Trevor Story.

I've also sent out a few hundred votes by now.

Miller is terrible, truly terrible. This ain't no high powered offensive team he's facing...the Pads offense may equate to a AAA team (with the exception of Myers) but yet he's getting demolished. I dare anyone to list a pitcher who you think is having a worse season than Miller. I can't imagine you'll find anyone. Not even James Shields is this bad.

Send him to the minors for the rest of the season. Let him know that he's nothing special and that he has to work for a spot.

As you can see, based on performance Lamb is the clear choice. Unfortaunately the actual best player rarely gets in because it's just a popularity contest. Among the major categories, Lamb is #1 on 9 of them. Belt is #1 in just 2 categories but he'll still likely win. If I wanted to compare some of the advanced metrics Lamb would kill all of these guys.

One interesting note: While Ray is having a pretty bad season, he is still on pace to record 200+ strikeouts (currently has a 10.5 K/9).

One silver lining for him is that his FIP is nearly a full point less than his ERA so it's possible that down the line his ERA will continue to trend downward.
