To my knowledge, the OP has the customs up on eBay simply to "show them off." It should be fairly obvious considering the huge BIN he set on the Williams. Of course, if he gets a huge offer, he might take it, but it's hardly a simple flip for an extra couple hundred.

As far as the typos go, that's clearly a proofing problem and I don't know where that blame should be directed. I know for the customs that I do, I go through a few rounds of proofing both the front and back...myself, the card owner and a third party.

200lbhockeyplayer is correct....just as his Ichiro is up on ebay too. I turned down an offer on the ichiro even at a $400 profit. When i was offered a $500 profit, I accepted, only the guy was from Japan and he didn't realize that it was a custom cut and asked if I would let him out of it, which I did.

I have already sent a dozen people to this board that inquired about freedom from the auction.

As to the proofreading, I will take credit for that...I was so picky on the front, changing it several times, that I told him to just do the back any way he wanted, and that I didn't even want to see it...duh, me...

As to the other remark....OF COURSE I AM AN ATTENTION *****! Being the baby of 6 kids, I am used to it...so get over it... ::facepalm::

Is it even legal to sell these custom type autograph cards? Is it clearly stated in the auction that it is a custom.

Given that they have MLB owned logos/trademarks and use photos that aren't owned by the custom card maker, probably not.

When you start selling things, fair use becomes copyright and trademark infringement.

Not that I'm calling the police or even really care, but I thought I would mention that it's probably not legal.

yes, it is... (search "ichiro patch auto" and it will be the only one on ebay)

excerpt---

This is a custom made card from one of the famous members on freedomcardboard.com
It is made of card stock and same dimensions as a standard baseball card and 180pt.
Card comes with PSA/DNA and Mill Creek holo and original card used to make it.

end excerpt ---

If it is legal to sell reprints of photos? I know there are a million of them on ebay...
