I went to my first live auction this last sunday. It was a pretty cool experience. Saw alot of cool advertising pieces like youd see on American Pickers,seen some toys and such that brought back alot of memories. Of course I was mainly going to see what sports memorabilia they might have. They had a ton of cubs stuff and they had baseballs allegedly signed by sandberg and some cubs team and even a sandy koufax which went for $10 because it didnt have a COA. I went after a box that had some misc. baseball stuff in it but i mostly went for it because it had sheets of uncut james dean and elvis stamps. I won the box for $20 and easily made that up in stamps so the other stuff was basically free.
I dont think there is anything of real value here but there are some pretty cool items. The 1976 Reds schedule is pretty awesome and in great condition. Would be a cool item to get signed by one or some of those players.
My friend and i also bought 8 sets of 2007 burger king nfl mini jerseys new in package. got them home and the peyton manning was pulled out of every set but 1 haha so we have 1 complete and 7 sets minus the manning. judging from ebay we will probably get 10x what we spent for them by the time its all said and done so im not complaining haha.
