I got nothing non-Dodger related in the mail today, but figured I'd start the new month's sharing thread.

1929 Churchman Sports of all Nations Baseball.jpg

My baseball pickups these days are kind of few and far between since I've focused on pre-war tobacco cards and mostly non-sports but this one finishes up a set that's needed just the 1 card for a while.

interesting. I recall another member of this site, although it could have been The Bench too as I don't remember the name, did a similar 180 with their collection. They also moved focus from sports to older non-sports.

I just won a Sanella card recently (not Ruth) and didn't realize how big they actually were. Always assumed they were roughly standard card size, despite being foreign.

I know these Churchman cards are small, like T cards. I think I have a few, including a Jesse Owens.

I just got back from the National in Chicago. So I am settling in, I will be posting some of the pickups in the following days. To kick it off I was able to find this fun Derek Jeter card while at the show.

Was happy to land both of these with BOs that were accepted on the same day, both arrived on the same day as well, via Ebay Standard/PWE no less. Neither player is exciting, having both had average careers at best, but they are part of a themed set I want to complete. Todd Walker and Alex Ochoa Emerald Autographs.

I now need, aside from some more of the unredeemed redemption cards, just 4 more of the autographs out of 18 total.

Metal Ochoa
Circa Rolen, Rodriquez & Walker

I think I need so many Circa because I never liked the design. I also learned there is a special Andruw Jones Circa auto from the same year. It's not an Emerald, but may have something to do with the set, so I will keep an eye open for one.

I'm always a sucker for the Archives Signature Series. I like the Retired version better. The Active version released today. And.....
Pretty happy with the result.

Hard to see on the purple background. It's a 1/1

So happy I took another chance.

Terrible scans - Pete Alonso Redemption.

The sad thing is, with Archives, a 1/1 is a bit of a stretch the way Topps plays games.

Awesome haul though!
