I need opinions on what I should do with this auto of Mike Tyson I got back in 1988. I am looking to get it slabbed by PSA/DNA and I am wondering if I should leave it like it is or crop out what my father wrote as info.

Here is the auto and what my Dad wrote. Do I crop it or leave it as is?

In case you cant read my Dads handwritting this is what it says.

"Autograph by Mike Tyson at the Albany Airport on 6-30-88, Just days after defeating Mike Spinks. Obtained by Jason."

Fight was on the 27th and he was heading home after the fight.

If your dad got it for you, I would keep it as is.. He thought enough to get it for you, you should keep it as it is.. maybe frame it, but keep it intact..

Good luck,

Just curious, but why would you want/need to have it authenticated if you had it signed in person? Surely that coupled with your fathers inscription, selling it would be out of the question no?

Not looking to sell, looking to keep it safe.

Forget the slab, just get authentication stickers and frame it up nice with a sweet shot of the baddest man on the planet

You could get it authenticated, then use that Leaf service that makes cut auto cards. That would look sweet, if it's the right size.
