AWESOME Experience at Wrigley Today!!!!!

So I went to my LCS today and the owner told me that he was going down to Wrigley to do a signing w/ Starlin Castro.....then he told me I could come. It was around 10 then and he told me he was leaving at 12. I rushed around to get all my stuff done and came back to the shop at 11:45.

We drove down to Wrigley and waited for Castro to show up...he got there at 1:45 ish.

It was a Steiner signing but my LCS owner was there as he was somehow part of it and he collected stuff from a bunch of players for a charity event. I watched Castro sign a ton of items then had him sign 3 balls for me and my two cousins.

Also got this to prove it




Needless to say it was an insanely fun day. Starlin is hilarious by the way. Even as a White Sox fan, this was awesome and I couldn't pass it up.

Very cool. It sounds like Starlin knows how to treat fans well and isn't a prima donna, which if true is a good sign. I think he's going to be a star. Once he grows into his body the power will come and with experience he'll get more consistent defensively, making him a star.

I was in Chicago for Lollapalooza last week and went to Wrigley for the Friday game against the Reds.

Sweet! Kind of jealous I dont have a Castro sig......Did anyone else notice the unusual hand placement though?!?!? This is an on going joke with some friends of mine after one of them took a similar pose with Cal Ripken. Sorry, had to say it! LOL......either way, very cool. Congrats.

What he is doing right now is being overlooked somehow(not sure how), but the guy is 20 years old, playing SS and hitting .313, with 29 extra base hits in 88 games. That is near incredible, but his prices for his bowman chrome autos still seem low to me.

I am assuming you got the 3 baseballs signed free, right? Either way, it's quite a unique and sweet experience.

Yup the three baseballs were free! Starlin is hilarious though. Very sarcastic and jokingly gave my LCS owner a hard time for alot of stuff. I asked him for the picture and he responded "it's up to me", jokingly of course.

The dumb gorgeous Steiner girl that came to do the signing knocked over all 66 bats that were on the wall after Starlin signed them too. Pretty funny to see and Starlin thought it was hilarious.

And to whoever said hand placement, it's just a picture haha.

Its putting your arm around someone bro style for a picture, obviously. I was with Castro, the Steiner people, my LCS owner and his assistant for 2 and a half hours. We walked towards the Cubs clubhouse and talked as a group haha he is a very cool guy.
