Phillips fouled a ball off his shin Saturday in Chicago and missed Sunday’s game. But he was in Monday’s linekup and said, “I’d play against these guys with one leg. We have to beat these guys. I hate the Cardinals. All they do is bitch and moan about everything, all of them, they’re little *******, all of ‘em. I really hate the Cardinals. Compared to the Cardinals, I love the Chicago Cubs. Let me make this clear - I hate the Cardinals.”

Love Brandon. He speaks his mind. Loved it when a couple years ago he said he was going to take Pujols f'n head off on a turned double play if he didn't get out of the way running to second.

Carpenter proved Brandon's point by being a whining baby at Brendan Ryan in the dugout tonight. Twice.
