3 Braves pitchers :)

I'm happy to see Minor get the respect he's due (especially considering all the "nothing special" talk from so many evaluator's about his tool's & him as a player)! :D

Moose @ #3? A travesty. Oh well, @ least the recent ‘moose love’ has been making me some very nice $$$$ + my new stash is already paid off (+ a profit made). Still have quite a bit left- incl a TRUE GEM 07 bcdp moose gold ref :)

Chris,

Which card would you prefer?

Subs - (3) 9.5's and a 9.

Or

Subs - (1) 10, and (3) 9.5's?

I think the answer is obvious. They are both 9.5's, but one Is obviously nicer. Just like buying a psa 4 vintage card. There is certainly a variation among 4's and some are nicer than others, thus a premium is paid for them.

I would prefer the second option, but I wouldn't pay more for it.

Lol, I know gem is gem (though obviously, I’d like the highest subs over say a ‘barely makes 9.5’), but people like to fetishize the TRUE GEM, so that’s why I mentioned it.

As for my moose TRUE GEM gold ref (+ the other true gems I’ve got of him- some ees/more 07 bcdp stuff), I’m hanging onto it for awhile longer. Whether someone pays a premium for it remains to be seen. I have several buyers who DO pay premiums for true gems (1 guy won't even consider a 9.5, 9.5, 9.5, 10 a TRUE GEM- he wants ALL 9.5 subgrades), so some people do still lust the true gems ;)

That's what happens when you unexpectedly gain 2-3 mph on your fastball.

Gem is gem is a true statements, but there is still something to be said by stronger sub-grades.

Plus if a gem card has a 9, and one of the other subgrades is iffy, your looking at a Mint card. If all subs are 9.5 or better, and the graded over graded 1 of them, you still have a gem.

Didn't Moose have better stats than Santana? More hits in more ABs, RBI? Why would Santana be higher?

How about MadBum?

Maybe didn't make the list, but still.

Good to see him clearly improve upon his first two terrible, TERRIBLE starts.

Why didn't Stanton make the cold list?
Because he is now above the "Not So Hot list." Seriously, it's comical.

The dude is 3-30 since the 12th. That's what I would call "Not So Hot" - but he's still the prospect poster boy so he'll never make an appearance on this list. They always seem to avoid the slump guys who they are still high on.

Makes me happy to see two former Falmouth Commodores on the list!
