Surprised to see Springer drop so low.

Everyone laughed when I said Gray was top 5 before the season. ;)

Really hope the O's land Springer.

Personally I'd prefer Danny Hultzen over Cole for the M's. We need a lefty.

Kyle Winkler as well, he has had a terrific season so far.

james (plano,tx): Why does baseballamerica keep saying Purke agreed to a $6m bonus out of high school? A friend of mine works for the rangers and he said that Purke agreed to a $4m deal and then the rangers had to drop that to $2m when MLB objected. On another note how much helium does kyle winkler have and are there any other TCU players you that BA predicts in rounds 1-3? thanks

Jim Callis: Nolan Ryan has said publicly that he and Purke's dad agreed before the draft to a $6 million bonus. Winkler has helium and could be a sandwich-rounder. Jason Coats hasn't live up too expectations after a banner summer, but he'll still go in the first 2-3 rounds. Taylor Featherston could sneak in there too.

FYI.

Pauly (Sayreville, NJ): Which of the better draft prospects are being advised by the Boras Corp?

Jim Callis: That stable includes Anthony Rendon, Gerrit Cole, Bubba Starling, Jackie Bradley, Josh Bell, Dillon Howard, Brian Goodwin, Alex Meyer, Austin Hedges and Jason Esposito from our Top 50 list.

When he was on the Cape in a pitching staff with drafted and prospects like Evan Danielli, Jordan Cooper, Mark Pope, Patrick Cooper, Grayson Garvin and Taylor Wall our bullpen catcher said no pitchers throws had as much natural movement as Kyle Winkler. He was nasty last year at TCU other than the CWS where I think he was just tired.

Cubs scout in Atlanta last weekend for the GT-UVa series said Hultzen wouldn't fall past the #8 pick because the Cubs wouldn't let it happen.

I'm not so sure Noe should be a top 50 guy. Where would you rank him? I'm also surprised to see henry owens falling.

I absolutely hate winklers mechanics and motion. I believe it will lead to injuries and/or performance issues.

Just my asssessment though....

I saw him in the 40's.

As for Owens, I couldn't agree more. Then again, my large stash of his cards clouds my judgment. BIG, BIG fan of his.

I am glad because I am not looking forward to fighting with all of you for his Bowmans that are sure to come out this Nov/Dec. If he had played USA last year I imagine I would be a lot poorer than I am now.
